Stanley Adventure Multi Use Bottle (Green)

Stanley Adventure Multi Use BottleThis is a great product, especially for those wanting to reduce weight and limit their pack size. The green plastic portion unscrews and holds a perfect cup of coffee or tea. The orange handle is sturdy, used as a coffee cup handle. The black lid screws on, so there is no risk of spilling your drink when turned upside down using this as a coffee mug. The body of the water bottle is stainless steel, weighs only 4.7 oz, and holds 20oz of liquid. I use it to cook on the camp fire, using the green top as my drink mug. You can''t beat this mug for the price.

I have used this on alcohol stoves and wood burning stoves to boil water. It is a clever design and I added it to one of my outdoor kits. Anytime an item has multiple uses (cup, water bottle, cooking vessel)it saves space and weight in your kit. The stainless steel bottom cleans up easy after using on wood. I recommend you give it a try.

Well, You can hardly go wrong, at this price. This is great for casual camping and for urban mobility (riding a bike or the bus and hanging out at the park, the lake, etc.).

This is a versatile system and an outstanding value ... it is very light and it "just works" ... Fits you mouth correctly and does not leak (so far).

HOWEVER ! *** I cannot recommend this vessel as a primary survival, bugout and expedition option. If you are way out there or if your life depends on boiling and carrying water in a sturdy vessel, there are really only a few dependable and robust options ...

... IMO, for these critical apps, the Kleen Kanteen 40-Oz widemouth or the GUYOT Designs 32-Oz stainless bottles are your best options. They are heavier and cost more, too. If this purchase is for bugout, remember to consider a carrying strap and/or a MOLLE water bottle carrier.

NOTE: The aluminum (lower) portion of this STANLEY vessel IS TAPERED and MAY NOT fit common stoves and nesting cups, etc., which are designed to integrate, closely, with the NALGENE dimensional specification. Not a big deal, at all, in most cases but may be too small to sit stable, on some stoves and also will not fit nesting cups, snugly). Just FYI.

The STANLEY is a great product and I am VERY happy with the price and functionality (modalities) of this product. Great for non-critical apps. and provides flexibility that no other product offers, at a crazy-low price.

You can''t go wrong ... This is a winnwer.

THIS stainless flask is very well put together, I chuck this in my daily work BOB bag, its neatly in my frost river pack, keeps water cool I find even on the hottest days, keeps water chilled on cool days, I can put it in a camp fire using my stick stove or stand alone in hot coals, even though it says not to do it, it does NOT distort after being blackened in a wood fire while bushcrafting, the label says not to do this, however I have found it works brilliantly for this purpose, I paid 14.00 bucks US , it is selling in the big box stores here in Australia ( if you can get it ! ) for $30.00 AUS , what ever you do DONT buy it for that !, my advice shop around !, I had it shipped from US with other stuff for $9.00 bucks ! can''t beat that, you still get change in your pocket if you are on a tight budget like me, by the way , I use my Leatherman surge and gloves to pick it from a hot fire with boiling water, I find standing it on a fire boils water in a very short period of time, the only downside to the flask it does not stand in car drink holders, other than that I would give it 5 stars.

Oh and by the way, food such as noodles or spaghetti , baked beans etc I have easily cooked in the stainless flask part and used the plastic top as a instant cup , one reviewer said it was "junk" , I have used mine everyday for carrying water and weekends for bushcraft use and have no problems what so ever with leaking.

This bottle is a VERY clever design and so innovative in it''s approach that many folks can''t wrap their brains around it''s attributes... It''s half the weight and half the cost of any other Stainless cup/ Nalgeen or Kleen Canteen 32 ounce combos and works JUST as well for anyone smart enough to keep the cap screwed on tight! At a little over $10 most places and less than 8 ounces all up ,it''s a smart buy for any THINKING outdoorsman!

Earthlust 2 Pack Replacement Nipples

Earthlust 2 Pack Replacement Nipples, Slow FlowI received a two-pack of replacement "Sippy" tops that fit the Earthlust Birds and Bees bottle, which is what I was hoping for -despite the photo of the water bottle on this product page. When you order this item, you get only the two sippy tops.

These sippy tops are hard to find. I first contacted Earthlust and was told that they are working through a production issue and are unsure when they will again be available. I was very pleased to find them on Amazon. Very high quality product!

High Sierra Water Bottle Sport Duffel Save 57% off

High Sierra Water Bottle Sport DuffelI use this bag to put my gym clothes and shoes in so I can hit the gym on the way home from work. It would fit a towel and shower kit. I like the water bottle holder on the outside I keep my refillable water bottle there so I always have a water bottle at the gym. The separate shoe pocket is great, but it does fill some of the inside of the bag so it does not give you any extra space. It does give you a place to put your shoes so they will not touch your clothes and get them dirty. The handle on one end of the bag makes it easy to slide in and out of the storage box at my gym. Small enough so it fits nicely on the floorboard of my car behind the driver/passenger seat. Two small pockets on one side are great for keys, cell phone, and mp3 player. Happy with my new gym bag.

Five stars... not perfect, but worth five stars. What is not perfect about this...you say??? The shoes (in my case) need to be inserted before the contents of the bag, otherwise the shoes are a pain to get in. I have adapted and the bag is great. Looks good, holds what I need (including a water bottle) and seems to be made very well.

My husband had one of these in black and it survived 5 years of abuse. The separate pouch for shoes is really helpful and the external water bottle holder come in very handy. I bought him a replacement for his birthday. Great product.

Updated 2013-02-09: I contacted High Sierra shortly after writing the original review. A new bag arrived after a few weeks. The replacement has held up well since, and the zipper is still attached. I''m giving it 4 stars (up from 3 originally) as a result. Maybe I just got unlucky the first time. Either way, High Sierra did the right thing.

Original Title: Good while it lasted

Bought one of these in a retail travel store. The ''U'' shape opening makes it very easy to access the main compartment and get things in/out. Mine saw light duty ~3x week as a gym bag after work and the roughly monthly weekend trip. The zipper came off in less than a year which was very disapppointing. Otherwise, the bag held up very well.

The Sport Duffel Met my expectations, you may need something bigger, but if you are well organized, will have no problem, The Duffel should come with a hook on a top handle, which initially saw no use, but gently place a hook for keys is wonderful place.....it is comfortable to transport the three alternatives to handle, highly recommended, good product

Gaiam 750ml Aluminum Water Bottle (Lapis Medallion) Save 86% off

Gaiam 750ml Aluminum Water BottleThese are very nice looking bottles. But they have two problems.

The first is the threading for the caps. It is a very fine thread which makes it hard to align the caps... the first time my wife tried to put the cap back on it got cross-threaded and didn''t sit properly. This probably won''t be a problem if you are using the bottles while sitting, but makes it difficult to put the cap on when moving.

The second problem is that being made of aluminum, they are a bit delicate. It makes them very light, but also makes them very susceptible to dents. A bottle got dropped from a few feet off the ground our first time out on a trail and put a pretty sizable dent in the side. There was only a inch or so of water left in the bottle and it wasn''t dropped from very high. If it were full of water the damage probably would have been even more.

To summarize, a very good looking and light bottle but not very rugged. Bottom line is they would make good bottles for the office or car but not in the outdoors.

This bottle is beautiful. I continue to use mine even with its two downfalls.

#1 the cap doesn''t always thread correctly so it will go on crooked.

#2 the decoration wore off. I split a back of potato chips in my bag and the oil made the design come off. Where the oil didn''t touch it is still there.

What I do love about this bottle is the color, the opening is the perfect size for me and it fits in my bag.

I love the color of this water bottle and the design is nice too. It''s lightweight and the water stays cold without sweating...at least I haven''t noticed sweating around the bottle. The cap has a nice seal, no leakage. However the cap is sometime difficult to screw back onto the bottle.

All in a it''s great deal!

Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set (24-Ounce)

Stanley Adventure Camp Cook SetThis stanley cookset is absolutely awesome, especially for the price. I would have paid double the actual price and still been happy with my purchase. Once you get this item in your hands, you will notice how high quality and rugged the construction is.

The set includes:

1 stainless steel cooking mug

1 stainless steel mug top

2 plastic 10 oz cups

COOKING MUG

This consists of a rugged stainless steel construction and feels like it will take an absolute beating. it also has measurements on the side that range from 8oz to 20 oz that are spaced out by 4 oz increments. This is handy for knowing how much to heat up to fill the two 10 oz cups. Also, the mug has a folding handle that is long enough to be away from the fire so it doesn not get too hot. This folding handle also locks the top in place while you are storing it at your house or in your pack. It may be a little narrow for some stoves as reported, but it works great with the MSR Pocket Rocket which is, in my opinion, the best camp stove out there. The cup is also wide enough to fit the smaller fuel cans inside. But if you do this, the two cups will not fit.

MUG TOP

This is also stainless steel and is made to the same quality as the mug. It has a few tiny holes at the top for steam to escape and a ruberized pull tab at the top for removal when hot. This tab also locks the top in place when the swing arm is over the top for stowing. By having a top, you can boil water faster and, consequently, save the fuel you bring along with you. It is a very convinient and user friendly design.

CUPS

Both cups are 10 oz and are insulted and built very well. They are BPA free and fit right into the mug for compactable storage. They do not get too hot when boiling liquids are added because of the thickness and insulative properties.

This system will give you boiling water in under 5 minutes with a stove, which is not bad at all. It is very economical in every sense of the word: it saves gas, boils quickly, and costs very little for what you get. The snow peak titanium cookset costs $40 and does not come with small cups and the cup itself is considerably smaller. Thats just an idea of how good this value is. Great product for campers and I highly recommend this cookset.

The Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set is an awesome value for the money. I was looking for a stainless steel camp pot as opposed to an aluminum one because they are a lot more durable. This pot seems to be well constructed. When I go backpacking I boil a lot of water for food and drinking. Many of the other pots this size break apart in the middle leaving you with a cup and mini fry pan. This boils more water at a time than the cups do. Two smaller camp fuel canisters nestle inside nicely. Has a holes on the top lid for straining. It''s a great all around cook pot. The only thing they did wrong and reason it gets 4 instead of five stars is they tapered the bottom to 3.25" which will not fit on all stoves. The dimensions of this product are as follows:

Height 5.75"

Width tapers Top 4"-Bottom 3.25"

I sold camping gear at a major outfitter for a number of years, and I''ve been a gear-junkie for over half my life. I can''t believe I''ve never come across this set before now, but I haven''t. And I also can''t believe how absolutely perfect this set is for a minimalist expeditioner, at such an unbelievably low cost. The price is fair as-is, but I would expect it to cost three times as much since inferior designed sets by well-known ultralight brands usually cost a lot more, and since the price of stainless steel has gone up so much in recent years.

Here''s what is amazing about this cookset...

PERFECT SIZE FOR ONE OR TWO MINIMALISTS. Usually, a cookset that is designed for two will be appreciably larger, but if you''re a minimalist and like to keep things simple, there is plenty of space here without overdoing it. The pot holds 24 fl. oz. which means you can toss in a typical can of food, such as chili or spaghettios, and heat it right up without having to fill it dangerously to the brim. It also happens to be exactly the right size for two or three cups of instant hot chocolate, and enough for the water requirements of many prepackaged dehydrated meals. In my experience a lot of cooksets are either a little too small or (far more commonly) larger or more awkwardly sized than they need to be. I much prefer a narrow, taller pot to a really wide, shallow one, but they can be hard to find. This one is perfect.

ACCEPTABLE WEIGHT. Backpackers who count every gram may grumble to see that it''s made of stainless instead of titanium, but the weight will be quite acceptable to all but the most obsessive ultralight folks. The stainless steel is thin enough to minimize weight without being so thin as to deform easily under pressure or heat. I''ve seen other stainless sets made from such thin gauge metal that they actually "oil can" (warp or deform) when they get too hot. Not with this set. I''ve also seen stainless sets so thick they felt like a brick to carry. Again, not with this set.

VERSATILE DESIGN. Nested inside the set are two 10 oz. plastic cups, sized perfectly for a cup of hot chocolate or a small bowl of hot food. They also are quite thick, so they don''t transfer heat to your hands. I poured in some steaming hot chocolate and could barely feel the warmth as I gripped the cup. That means you don''t have to wait for the pot to cool a bit before pouring the contents into the cups. The lid of the set is stainless steel and contains a series of small 1/8" diameter vent holes (a row of six holes on one side, and a single hole on the opposite side). At first glance, their purpose is to release steam to show you when your food is hot, which is already a nice feature. However, I also realized that they are designed so they can be used as a strainer to strain water away after cooking pasta or another hydrate-able food.

A small plastic tab on the lid offers a cool place to grab the lid even after several minutes of cooking. Other reviewers have noted that the tab can melt over time, but I suspect that would only be after extended cooking. I saw no problems with melting after six minutes of boiling water. The tab is tensioned so that it lays flat when packed away, but can stand erect while cooking (for easy grabbing without burning your fingers).

A folding wire handle on one side of the pot snaps down into place for cooking, and has a small "spreader" bar that slides into place so you don''t accidentally pinch the wires together to release the locked position inadvertently. When you want to fold it up, you slide the spreader bar back, squeeze the wires together, and lift. The handle rotates up and snaps down over the top to hold the lid on (and the contents in) during transit. Since it is wire, it diffuses heat quickly. After several minutes of cooking, the handle was barely warm and easy to hold. It is slightly longer than the handles on other cookware I''ve used. That, combined with the taller height of the pot, seems to keep it cooler than the (similar) wire handles on other compact cookware I''ve used.

On the pot, there are also measuring marks imprinted in the stainless for 6, 12, 16, and 20 oz. (or 237, 355, 473, and 591 mL, respectively). These marks are visible on both the inside and outside of the pot, so they allow quick, easy measurements when you need a precise amount of liquid to rehydrate a meal or cook to a recipe.

OUTSTANDING PRICE: After having owned several nice cooksets from SnowPeak, MSR, and Brunton, each of which cost in the $40 to $80 range, I was not expecting this cheap set to be so nice. It looked good in pictures, but I wholly expected to receive something flimsy or shoddily made. Fortunately, I trusted some of the positive reviews. As it turns out, the set is very well made and should stand up to a lifetime of camping if properly used and maintained.

NOTES: The Stanley Adventure Camp Cookset fits perfectly on my MSR Pocket Rocket stove. I built a gimbal mount so that I can use this as the perfect cookset-on-the-go aboard my 20'' sailboat. It''s ideal for making hot chocolate or heating a quick lunch when I''m sailing.

I love this cook set. It''s more sturdy than most, compact, and well designed.

I built a small burner alcohol stove to match the pot''s small diameter. They worked well together, so I removed one of the cups to allow room to store the stove inside the set. The stainless is a little heavier than aluminum, and does take a little longer to heat, but I have no issue with that.

I work pipeline and have used this cook set to make soup mixes and ramen noodles on my work truck bed during lunch. In about seven minutes my meal is ready. (I always park the truck so my cook area is protected from most wind) :)

I actually found the Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set in a big-box store, and my initial opinions were mixed. On the one hand, I''ve always liked Stanley products. Conversely, I had an automatic inhibition about buying any hiking/camping items in a big-box store (I think that might make me a gear-snob, which is something I need to take ownership of). After buying the set and using it, I''ve found I really enjoy it, and it was well worth the money.

A few random points...

* This is a very sturdy set: mine has held up to the typical rigors of camping/hiking. One reviewer stated he could squeeze it with his hands, thereby bending it out of shape. I agree that you could do that. But one needs to understand there is a fine line between being a hiking/camping cook set and an in-home cooking set. If Stanley were to make the cook set thick enough that you cannot squeeze it would result in a cup/pot that is too heavy to be an asset in the field.

* The lid is a great asset, that speeds along the cooking process. One reviewer mentioned melting the little plastic handle on the lid. I''m surprised, as I''ve boiled water and cooked food in my Stanley, both on stoves and directly on the fire, without any negative affects to the handle. I suppose if mine was to melt, I would just replace it with a piece of wire, and drive on.

* I like the handle arrangement on the Stanley: it locks down for use as a handle, and locks in the up position to secure the lid for travel. The handle is long enough to keep it out of the flames when placed directly on the fire. Not for nothing, but the directions provided by Stanley say not to use it on open flame: I think that is more for legal purposes as anything else.

* The set came with two really sturdy plastic tumblers, which nest in the main pot. I don''t have any use for the cups when hiking, so I leave them at home (they''re a perfect size for my 2 year old daughter). Instead, I use the space in the pot to store bagged dry food & candy bars.

* I''ve read a number of reviews here and on other sites stating that the Stanley is too heavy. Having worked in an upscale, yuppie-targeted outdoor store, I''ve heard the "it''s heavy" complaint hurled at everything from packs (logical) to plastic water bottles (sort of logical) to water itself (illogical). I guess I never really understood the ultralight movement, as I''ve never exhausted myself by carrying a steel cup around.

* All parts of the Stanley are dishwasher safe; I top-racked it just to be safe.

* The price point is very nice; even buying the Stanley set in a big-box, I only paid around fourteen dollars.

In totality, I found the Stanley set to be a good addition to my outdoor gear. The Stanley has sent my venerated canteen cup into retirement, and I expect to use the Stanley for years to come.

EZ-Freeze® Water Bottle 12oz Cool Zooey Fliptops (Styles May Vary)

EZ-FreezeĀ® Water Bottle 12oz Cool Zooey FliptopsLove Cool Gear products. I ordered blue, but green came (it says they can change the color). No biggie. Just glad they didn''t send pink or purple.

The only other thing was that the straw came really bent and so my son would get air when trying to drink out of it. I put something in the straw to straighten it out, so it works fine now.

I originally purchased this in pink from the cool gear website not sure if my daughter would use it. My daughter more than use it, she begs to have her pink cat sippy cup all the time. I decided to purchase more to be able to have better rotation for cleaning. I went to cool gear where they no longer offered them. I purchased two from Amazon. They came extremely fast. When I opened thr box, she cooed are those for me. I now have the blue dog and the green frog according to my daughter. Great product that keeps the liquidsa cold when you are out and about.

We picked one up in Japan, thinking this was such a cute and clever product. When I warped the bottom portion in our dishwasher, I discovered this is from the USA! My daughter loves it and has been using one since about 13 months. The top straw area can leak if left sideways or upside-down in your diaper bag, but so can our other sippy cups. Because the straw mechanism is a little tough to clean thoroughly, I''d recommend it only for water. Also, the head, neck and straws seem to be fine in a hot dishwasher, but the bottle portion can warp. Otherwise, this has been great for our family.

Stay away from these cups if you want simple. They have 5 maybe 6 parts to take apart to thoroughly clean. Nice concept poor design. I don''t think they are dishwasher safe either. Way to fussy for our family.

WATER BOTTLE POLAR 24oz BIG BEAR BLUE

WATER BOTTLE POLAR 24oz BIG BEAR BLUEI got this to replace my husband''s old and banged-up Sigg water bottle. He is very pleased with it and takes it everywhere!

I bought two of theseWATER BOTTLE POLAR 24oz BIG BEAR BLUE [Misc.] and got them for under ten each and they are fantastic at keeping water and sports drinks cool. I have used 4 other products to keep water cool and have found that within 3 hours, they are warm...not so with these bottles. I live in a very hot summertime climate (over 60 days this year of 100+ temperatures) and will ride for 2-4 hours (spouse permitting) on a weekend and these bottles are "just what the doctor ordered" for keeping hydrated because they make you want to drink more fluids. Sigg Traveler Touch Water Bottle (1.0-Liters) Save 16% off

Sigg Traveler Touch Water BottleThis waterbottle is superb in quality and construction. But there are two caveats one must consider before purchasing. First, when you freeze the bottom half of the waterbottle to keep water cool all day long, the freezing process causes the aluminum on the bottom to expand slightly giving the waterbottle a slight wobble everytime you set it down. Also, if you live in a very humid area and love drinking very cold drinks, the aluminum this bottle is made of causes a great deal of condensation. All in all, this is a wonderful waterbottle for those of you that want something more than the typical Nalgene, its very classy and unique and it''ll definately last a very long time.

Tall and reasonably slender (unlike those chunky Nalgene bottles) this Sigg fits well in my briefcase pocket. The top is absolutely leak proof (so far, at any rate) and easy to hook a finger through. Yes, it takes a moment to unscrew it, but that''s a small price to pay for an opening that is the easiest to drink out of of any water bottle on the market. Some Sigg engineer had lip ergonomics down pat. I think it''s well worth the price. I have no idea why it''s called "Traveler Touch" --some marketeer copy writer was off on a tangent. It doesn''t need any name other than DGWB (damn good water bottle).

*****

This is an upscale designer water bottle, top of the line, and so much fun. The designs Of Sigg''s water bottles are gorgeous, from the plain, solid color bottles, to the ones with intricate designs. They are simply beautiful! I switched from regular plastic water bottles because of health concerns, thinking it would take more work to maintain. These do necessitate regular cleaning (I clean mine every day), but having something so beautiful to drink from makes the cleaning fun. Sort of like my rings, glasses, and watch, I now consider my Sigg personal water bottle a vital accessory, reminding me to drink more water, making a statement about my values, and expressing myself with a special design. Yes, all in a water bottle!

Sigg of Switzerland water bottles are very high quality, made of light aluminum on the outside, slightly insulated, and covered with a special powder coat on the inside that prevents any leaching whatsoever, unlike plastic and polycarbonate water bottles. They are light, durable, and perfect for any activity. Well water tastes spectacular in these bottles, just like from the tap.

Sigg bottles come with several different types of tops. I bought the screw top because I don''t like sports tops, and I don''t mind unscrewing the top when I want a drink. It is totally leakproof, which is important to me. The top is pretty and can be hooked onto a carabiner. I get comments on it all the time, "What''s that? I love it!" The sports top version is ok; I just am not a fan, as I don''t feel like I can get enough water from the little stream from the sports top. However, for convenience, you might prefer it. For children, there is a cap-type top. All are leak-proof. If you are ever unsatisfied with the top, you can buy a screw top separately to fit your Sigg bottle.

Sigg makes their personal water bottle in .6L and 1L in this style. I have both. I use the .6L for sports activities because they are smaller. When I won''t have to carry the container, I like the larger bottle. Sigg also makes a smaller .3L bottle for children that is a perfect size for young people. You can buy Siggs in alternative sizes too, such as .75L, .4L (for kids), .6L, .5L. You can occasionally find this bottle in the 1.5L size, also. Search Amazon for the perfect size.

Pick a style and pattern you like, as this bottle is a personal accessory, and should reflect your style. The colors are vibrant and even prettier than they seem in the pictures on Amazon.

They are expensive, but they are so durable that you can plan on them lasting many years. I consider them both an accessory and an investment in my health, so they are well worth it value-wise for me.

Highly recommended.

This bottle is just what I was looking for ever since I discovered that nalgene bottles leached the chemical, Bisphenol-A. I remember the day I read the research on the chemical as I was sipping out of my nalgene. Ever since I have converted all my nalgene bottles to change containers. The Sigg Traveler Touch is the best choice in my opinion out on the market today. The design is sleek and the materials are high quality. It is so lightweight and I look forward to drinking out of it everyday and love looking at (I know I''m kinda of a geek). All in all I know I will stick with this company if I need bottles in the future. Go buy a Sigg and stay away from polycarbonate bottles!
