I exchanged my Sigg bottle for a Klean Kanteen and I''m glad I did. They are just so much easier to clean due to the wide opening. I also think they look better. I had read about the sports top causing some, well, noises, but I thought it couldn''t really be that bad. Well, it is. Most of the time it doesn''t matter, but there are instances when you just want to drink quietly (say, when you''re proctoring an exam!). So I got a regular cap as well, no big deal. The regular cap is also leakproof. Overall, I''m happy with my purchase, and I love the reef blue color.

Some early sport caps on non-squeezable (metal) bottles (for example sigg) had big issues in that they didn''t have a way to overcome the lack of positive pressure. Somehow, klean kanteen has managed to create a sport cap that is relatively leak proof when closed (i wouldn''t throw it in a bag with important legal documents), but has great flow when open. well done.

My wife drinks a lot of water. She needed something durable and protable to take with her in the car. This product lived up to the ratings provided by others on the internet. My only concern is that the top does not apper to be completely sealed. When in the upright position, no problem. If the bottle falls on its side or is held upside down, water will drip from the small plastic breather hole even if the spout is completely in the closed position. Luckily my wife only places it in the cup holder in the car. If she carried it in her gym bag that may be a different story. Other than my experience with the water dripping issue, this is a very high quality and durable product. I am sure this would not be problem with the screw-on cap.

The bottle is perfect very well made. The cap is designed to relieve internal pressure using a flapper valve in the cap. It''s noisy and leaky I only use the "sport" cap inside, where the bottle is upright and undisturbed. I notice that a redesigned sport cap is available. Until I get one, I recommend using a screw-down cap that seals the bottle if it''s moved around.
