This is a great canteen and to know it''s made in the USA so I am not drinking some lead filled Chinese plastic. It was a Christmas present from my wife and there were some issues with the free key chain, but she contacted the seller and a replacement arrive in no time GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would highly recommend this for any outdoors man.
I have this canteen and am pleased with it. No plastic taste in the water and excellent build-quality.
It has a shoulder-strap, metal-rim and cap that is secured by a chain.
My only concern is cleaning the inside. I can easily see the inside, and with proper care and cleaning that shouldn''t be a problem. Oasis recommends to keep cap off when not in use.
Update: My original review was based on an Oasis orange fire-service canteen I have. Since then I bought the black felt-sided canteen also. I find the material for the felt and the strap to be of lower quality than I expected. Otherwise it''s the same good canteen.
