My three year old has been using it for a couple of years, I typically send her to school with it in her lunch bag and use it when we go on outings.

It seals securely do it does not drip. I appreciate the fact that it''s aluminum and I do not have to worry about the BPA issue if her lunch sits in the sun, although on that same noteremember she''s a toddler and the aluminum dents. She''s dropped it several times, and I''m actually fairly pleased how resilient it isit has stood up to beatings better than my aluminum bottle, the bottom seems to be thicker than mine. The only quirk is that she had to become proficient in opening and closing it. When she was two, she initially needed the help of her teachers to open it because it''s a pretty firm 1/4 twist on the sports top to open the water way. However if it''s not probably twisted/closed all the wayit will leak, but the child should know becaus the top cap will not snap shut. She has the .3 L size and it''s a perfect size to carry around in her little toddler hiking bag when we go in our day trips and put in her lunch pail. You might be able to get away with the .4 L in a lunchpail, but I like this smaller size because it''s easy.

One more thing, the top is narrow so it will not fit typical brushes for cleaning (they do offer a sigg bottle brush to purchase to clean them) but since I don''t use it for anything but water, I flush with soap water inbetween the dishwasher cycles and it''s been great.

These are excellent bottles. I have three. When they fall, they don''t drip. They are easy to fill, and don''t leak. And my little boy (2 years old) loves them. They fit in my handbag and I don''t have to worry about drips. They fit in the cupholders in the car and on his carseat and in the stroller.
