Compared to the price and the quality of other hiking/camping/etc., products made of titanium (I''m thinking SnowPeak here), the quality of the Vargo Titanium 650 is not there at all. The one thing I couldn''t get over is the screw cap. There are four threads on the bottle and cap. The cap grips just 50% of the last thread on the bottle. There is no way I would trust the cap to stay on in my backpack.I am a big fan of titanium. Or maybe I''m just lazy and don''t want to carry any more weight than I have to. While this item is made of titanium and is very light weight, I recommend passing. For this price, I expect more than a chuck of titanium, I expect a product that will last a lifetime. This won''t. If SnowPeak can make quality titanium products for a decent price, Vargo should be able to as well.

and I order a green one some how delivered a black oneSure, nearly seventy dollars is pricey for a water bottle, until you realize that titanium imparts no flavors at all. You will never taste anything metallic, or deal with the hint of the different beverage you had in there yesterday. Combine that with a bottle that when empty weighs a mere 4 ounces and is completely bio-compatible and you have a winner! No need for any lining, so all concerns about BPA are eliminated. In a pinch you can heat water or soup in this bottle directly over the fire (cap off) and not worry about a thing. Drinking from this bottle makes your water taste cleaner, like drinking out of a glass bottle, but with a fraction of the weight, and the strength that should make it last virtually forever. It also looks very cool, with the word "Titanium" on the side, resulting in people asking me about it because you will not find this in most stores.
