The Nathan Hydration belt came with 4 8 oz. bottles, 2 with nutrition cap and 2 with more traditional ''pull up'' cap.I use the bottles mainly for running long distances (training for half-marathon). I was used to the 25 oz. Camelbak but grew tired of cleaning it and hard a hard time knowing how much water to ration on long runs. These bottles are top rack dishwasher safe.
I ran 10 miles with it the first day and had no problems. They don''t noticeably bounce. They are easy to pull out and put back in the holster. I use the front 2 when I am running, and then when they are empty, I easily shift them to the back and move the back (full) bottles to the front. I also use 2 for water and 2 for sports drinks on my long runs. I even ran a 5 mile race and had no issues.
I find the product extremely useful for drinking fluids. I haven''t tried to eat a gel yet. However, I find the nutrition cap bottles superior to the pull up and ordered 3 more.
Negative: Will leak if turned upside down (e.g. when stretching but never when running) so I take off the belt while I stretch. The pull up bottle I found to leak even when running so I will only use them if I am walking.I bought these to go with a running belt I already had and they are awesome. They were great to have with me. The tops were great, no mess and I didn''t have to try to get the top pulled up on the bottle like I do with the bottle that came with my belt. These are much easier to run with that the first one I got. I didn''t have any leaking problems either and they are easy enough to clean.

I got these so I would have some replacement bottles for my running belt (also Nathan''s). I love these bottles. They are easy to use (valve in opening means you just have to squeeze) and strike the perfect balance between weight and volume of water.Read Best Reviews of Nathan 8-Ounce Nutrition Flask with Race Cap (3-Pack) Here
I purchased this for about $13 to have replacements for the running fuel belt. While the condition of these bottles are great, the cost of these bottles could have been better.Want Nathan 8-Ounce Nutrition Flask with Race Cap (3-Pack) Discount?
I''ve used a Nathan Speed 4 belt with two of each type of bottle for a year now. I find that I prefer the ease of use of the race caps over the pull-up closable caps. My experience is that BOTH the race caps and the pull-up caps will leak when drinking but the race cap leaks MUCH less for me. I get leakage around the threads where the cap screws on. The pull-up caps also leak at the base of the part that pulls up, making a bigger leak. Both bottles will also leak if you wear the belt while stretching so I take my belt off to stretch.I like the race caps but put off buying a whole new set of bottles when I only wanted to change two caps. But after a year of regular use, one of my bottles sprang a leak in the middle of the side where the plastic flexes during drinking (when it is squeezed). If not for this failure, I''d rate these bottles 4 stars for the race caps.
