Filzer Kewl Bike Bottle 1l with Flip Lid

Filzer Kewl Bike Bottle 1l with Flip LidYou''re looking for a metal bottle to replace that plastic one? Here is the Kewl Bottle. Ignore the name... I''ve already made some progress scratching the logo off with my thumbnail. It''s 100% stainless steel, without any of that ridiculous plastic "BPA free" lining a lot of other "metal" bottles have. It has a big, wide mouth. I can fit four fingers in pretty easily. Good for ice cubes, good for cleaning. The lid closure isn''t some weak sliding thing, but a solid latch that opens and closes with a satisfying click. And it''s light. 196 grams on my scale with the lid on, 164 grams without (the neck ring remained on). The metal is thin but only has the very very slightest flex to it, and only when putting on deliberate pressure to test it. I''d certainly hurt myself before I''d manage to make a noticeable dent. My only complaint is that I got it on sale for $7 and now the price is back up. I missed my chance to get a second one for cheap!

BUYER TAKE NOTE: "Bike Bottle" is a bit of a misnomer. This fat bottle will never fit in an ordinary bottle cage. They admit as much on their website, so it''s annoying that it remains part of the name. They do sell others of the correct girth. For reference, this bottle is the same width as a standard Nalgene bottle. Apart from the name, there is nothing "bikey" about this bottle at all. I certainly wouldn''t trust to drink out of this lid at high speed. It''s a bottle for carrying in a bag. I bought it for that, so I''m not going to take any stars off. Just be aware.

This was exactly what I was looking for. 1 liter size, 18/8 stainless steel(not aluminium), wide mouth, and a strong flip top. I''ve had it about a month now and I''ve had no issues. Much cheaper price than others, but looks to be made fairly well. Go get it!
