I bought my CamelBak for my love of the outdoors, and more importantly my love for outdoor Music Festivals. The water at the filling stations was pumped through a warm hose so the water was both warm and tasting of icky rubber. This filter pretty much kills that ick flavor. Now, I fill my pack with ice and get tap water from a filling station. This is a must for anybody who intends to fill their pack from a faucet or hose.
Maybe it''s just me but I would like it if there were a cap and plug supplied to cover the filter ends if you take it off the reservoir for an extended period of time for some reason.
The packaging isn''t clear but the replacement Fresh filter is the same as the replacement Groove filter. Camelbak confirmed this. I has seen a couple of web sites that said that but wasn''t 100% sure the info was accurate.

The premise is great, however, the filter is subpar. I filled it twice from the tap and it clogged and would obstructed the flow of water from the antidote bladder. Maybe it''s a fluke. I purchased two new replacement filters so we will see... If it doesn''t happen again then I would say it is worthy of 5 stars.Save 10% off
