This bottle is perfect for kids. The size is great, the slate blue color seems very appealing to boys, and it''s a good price for this product. 32 oz is a little big for a 9 yr old or a 3 yr old (those are the kids I know who use it) so the 16 oz, narrow neck (stops the bottle from emptying out immediately if dropped), handle-in-capkeeper design is all very well thought out. I have this bottle in 32 oz as well for myself and I''ve never had to worry about the capkeepig strap breaking off as I use it to carry the bottle.

It''s BPA-free so you can take it for say outdoor sports and not worry about the sun leeching toxins into the water. The material is remarkably insulating so you don''t get hot water as fast as you do in a normal plastic bottle. The bottle itself is virtually indestructible for casual use. Those walls are thick.

I''ve used camelbacks, siggs, and other brands, but returned to the Nalgene as the most convenient.

I love this water bottle. It is perfect for taking anywhere and it will not leak. The only problem I had with it is when I first received it. It had a large round sticker on it that was near impossible to peal off. I did everything I could think of to get it off. I soaked it in warm water, rubbed oil all over it and finally used my fingernails to scrape off the residue from the sticker, hence the four out of five stars. I mean... is it really necessary to put it on the bottle? Why not just a tag with a string around the neck? Aside from spending several hours cleaning the bottle from the nasty sticker, it is perfect. Best water bottle I''ve ever owned.

I purchased this bottle because I have gone back to college as an adult student, living off campus, and it is extremely inconvenient to leave the building I am in during my ''lunch'' break to get coffee and then return. I tried those Starbucks mocha bottles, but the glass worries me and also due to rural location can''t be recycled along with the cans and bottles most students get for their energy drinks and what not. Plus they''re very expensive.

The Nalgene on the other hand can hold up to several cups of coffee, is shatterproof, and can even safely take hotter beverages if I wished since they reformulated the plastic to be BPA free. I don''t personally have much opinion on that, but according to the labels and internet articles that''s what is considered safe now for hot beverages. I''ve got several other Nalgene bottles, but I wanted this smaller one for my home-brewed coffee, and it is perfect.

So if you''re looking for a smaller bottle that is durable and convenient, look no farther. Get a Nalgene, and check out their other products as well while you''re at it, because they have a lot of variety.

Size/style/price and color selection at Amazon are good. Follow manufacturer''s cleaning instructions, and in a "real dirty" or bad residue condition, you can use an Efferdent "5 minute" tablet. Although the bottle itself is dishwasher safe, the cap can distort if too close to drying element, so load on top rack with cap well out of direct heat stream. Buy several for different needs (morning commute, camping, etc. and (hopefully) save on shipping costs if all from same source.
