I have purchased all the Pura stainless steel water bottle sizes. This one is very convenient for my kids'' lunch boxes. I feel I am doing the right thing by giving my kids water in Pura stainless steel (with a stainless steel lid) instead of plastic. I am glad I made the switch. Pura is a great company! The cap I received with this was broken (it had a small crack on the threads). I requested and received a replacement. Pura replaced it fairly quickly without an issue. The replacement cap broke (apparently, in an uncommon way, so I''m told). Pura replaced this one fairly quickly without an issue. I have since bought several other varieties of this bottle from Pura. One thing it does not do well is seal in carbonated beverages. If you shake the bottle at all, it builds enough pressure to force the liquid out. Although this is probably not the correct usage for this product, I would like everyone to know that I had issues with it in this capacity. It may work better if the lid is tightened down more but then my wife couldn''t open it. I use this bottle for beverages from water, iced tea, orange juice and lemonade without an issue.

The lip is rolled over and can catch some liquid in it as you drink. If you are not aware of this and drink from the lip in this particular way, you will end up with your liquid on the exterior of the neck. This is a nuisance, but it can be overcome by not letting the fluid pool in your mouth near the lip as you drink. This is caused by the lip being rolled and not sealed against the neck (I assume because the manufacturing process would make it more difficult/expensive).

I have no issues with a metallic taste. initially, it was a bit noticeable and my wife commented on it. That taste has gone away after a few cycles in the dishwasher.

The painted version can scratch easily, so be careful. I bought only one of those as I like the stainless look and didn''t want to worry about the paint. However, the colors allow for easy identification.

Although the lifetime warranty covers leakage, this bottle leaked the first time I used it -and ruined everything in my backpack. Even with the cap screwed on as tightly as possible, it always leaks when turned sideways. The O-ring inside the stainless steel cap doesn''t create a tight enough seal.

I left this with ice in it on the counter over night. it sweat so bad i thought the bottle sprung a leak.

there is no way you can carry this in a pocket or backpack.

I leave it in the fridge, where it does not sweat.

if you want to carry a bottle with you, get one of the insulated ones. they do not sweat.

and, it is made in china.
