New Wave Enviro Striped Porcelain Water Dispenser (2.5-Gallon)

I needed a replacement crock for home water bottle dispenser. Ordered the New Wave Porcelain Dispenser. The crock arrived pronto, and was fine--looked nice, sat level, deep enough to hold plenty of water, etc. But the spigot that shipped with it was a piece of junk. It began dripping immediately. I wiggled and jiggled to no avail. Tried to get amazon to send me just a replacement spigot, but even a supervisor said "no"--I had to return the dispenser AND spigot to get a replacement. To his credit, he did immediately ship the replacement with 2-day shipping. However, when I unpackaged the second one, installed the spigot, and filled it with water--the exact same thing happened! The spigot would not stop dripping. 0 for 2. Fortunately I still had an old spigot left over (from my old dispenser that cracked). The old spigot and new dispenser is now working fine. So, while the price is right for the dispenser itself, don''t have too high expectations for the spigot. (You will probably need to buy a better quality spigot, for $5-10.)

its a good thing i filled it with water in the sink to clean it out before I used it because the spigot leaked! and not a slow leak! would have made an awful mess if it was not over the sink! the crock itself is fine, but the spigot is junk and therefore the whole unit is useless until I can get a new spigot!

I live where bottled water is best for drinking and cooking. This water dispenser looks good in my kitchen and is a sturdy receptacle for holding the 5 gal. jug and dispensing water. I prefer the porcelain. I also like this as no electric is required. The price is very reasonable.

I thought that maybe I would be lucky and get one without a leaky spout (after reading the other reviews). The first one I got was packaged so badly it was completly busted, sent it back and got the replacement (still same bad packaging just a cardboard box with the dispenser no packing material at all to keep it from breaking) but it was intact. Filled it with water and the spout leaked badly nothing we did helped. Looked for other spouts but could only find them in 1000 piece lots! We are returning again and ended up ordering a wooden barrel for my kombucha instead (from happyherbalist website they were running a special for a wooden barrel $100 with shipping was only a bit more than this really...)

I wish we would have listened to the previous reviews we have another porcelain water dispenser (the one with the ivy) and it has worked great for about a year I dont know what they have done differently but the price went up and the quality went down.

This is a really nice crock. It''s ceramic and the package says it''s lead free. It looks nice and was easy to assemble and clean. I purchased 3 gallon jugs to go with it and they are perfect and easy to handle. The only drawback is that it drips. I get about 1/8th of a cup every 8 hours on the floor and had to put a little dish on the floor to catch it. It needs a little drip tray.
