Primus Stainless Steel Drinking Bottle

I bought this bottle because it says it''s "STAINLESS STEEL"....this is NOT true. This bottle is powder coated ALUMINUM. A water bottle of this same QUALITY can be bought at the dollar store. The only difference would be the lid...which I''m also disappointed in.

I also was unaware that the plastic lid screws onto the plastic threads that is ATTACHED to the aluminum. I was hoping that, firstthis bottle was stainless steel,and secondthat I could use as a water bottle and also cook in it when backpacking. Multiple uses type thing. But the plastic is attached. I''ll tell you if your buying it for that reason like I did it is a mistake. Also I don''t know what NALGENE bottles they compared it to but I have one here and the opening is not as large as on a nalgene bottle. Except for being a water bottle...as I suppose...you could say it''s advertised. It''s pretty useless.

The item title and description clearly indicate that this is a stainless steel water bottle. However, the tag that came with it says that it is actually powder coated aluminum and it doesn''t feel like stainless steel. I still like it for its light weight, and the double cap is seriously the best thing since sliced bread. I bought one of those 1 liter hard plastic water bottles with the small mouth since I always spill the large mouth ones all over myself, but it was so hard to clean and difficult to find a bottle brush that would fit the mouth (dish soap and a bit of rice seems to clean it decently though). The double cap solves the problem beautifully. I give this 3 stars for the false advertising and its just ok for the price.
