nice looking mug, well constructed, but not pleased with how quickly my coffee starts to cool. my hot coffee is appraoching luke warm by end of my 20 minute commute. definitely luke warm within an hour.I owned a sigg metro mug in the past and loved it. only drawback was having to unscrew the lid to drink my coffee. thought the convenience of this lid design would be better for working around the office. Convenient, yes, but overall performance, no.
It is light in weight, easy to carry. Compare to the Klean Kanteen I ordered and returned to Amazon, the stainless steel inside this sigg cup is far more superior. No metallic odor when I drink from it, no dark finger print marks when I touch inside the cup like the K.K. bottle.
The lid is made of good quality plastic. Attached on the lid is a ''clip'' which is somewhat like a see-saw to me. You press on one end of the clip, the other end opens up by about 1cm to allow liquid flow out. It''s not easy to wash the bottom of the ''clip'' where the soft stopper is located. I use my tea tree facial wash to prevent bacteria growth there.
I am keeping this cup, because it''s so hard to find good quality stainless steel and plastic cups anywhere.
