We bought this for my 4 year old for preschool because I wanted a plastic-free thermos. The screw cap is plastic, and so is the interior of the cup (which I was not completely thrilled about, but that may be how all vacuum bottles are), but other than that we have been very happy with this. My daughter really loves using it.

I work outside in the mountains and in the winter months a thermos makes all the difference. If you preheat with boiling water for 10 minutes empty it and then put in your beverage or soup of choice ou will have a hot treat hours later.

After much research to find my husband a good vacuum bottle I purchased this one. It is used to hold coffee refills during the day and it is still hot for the last cup. Have purchased others but none have kept it warm enough to drink and enjoy till the very last drop. He said this one works as described it would.

While well constructed and rugged, this vacuum bottle does not keep liquids hot for any extended period of time which is a great disappointment! Within an hour or two the beverage is cooling down, so this does not work well for hot beverages which is what I purchased it for. Have not tried cold beverages, so this bottle may work better for this purpose. If you want to keep something hot, then stick with a glass lined thermos bottle!
