MSR Dromedary Bag Spigot Cap

Strapped on top of, or stashed inside the hull hatch of my Perception kayak, the MSR Dromedary bag is very versatile. Water previously was hauled in a cheap "collapsible" jug which slid around and began to leak after only a few uses. The only fault I had with the MSR was the three-in-one cap that comes with it... you either had a small dribble or a gusher. The spigot cap solved the issue. If you think the MSR Dromedary Bag is a great water carrier for backpacking or paddle sports, then you will find the spigot cap makes an already great product even better!

This product is constructed of good quality plastic from what I can tell. It appears to be durable, and it serves the purpose of allowing your bag to be used as temporary faucet quite well. I would add, however, that if you plan on using this cap in order to transport your water bag...think again. This cap does NOT seal good enough, and will allow some water to leak out. This cap is good for stationary use, but not as a water tight cap.

I purchased the MSR Dromedary Bag Spigot Cap for my MSR 6L DromLite Bag in order to use it as a base camp "wash station" on camping trips. Just hang the bag from a tree and the spigot cap allows you to wash your hands right at the campsite without having to hike to the nearest rest area, water station, or stream. The spigot allows complete control of the output of water from a trickle to a full flow, much like any faucet does. Hang the Dromedary bag higher up and I suppose you could use this spigot to turn your bag into a makeshift shower as well.

I change this with the default cover and it works better, attach with my old camp shower head and I can use it as a tap/shower.
