The sqeezable pouches are an excellent product for the Sawyer filter. This size is ideal for refilling multible water bottles in one shot, so it also saves time. The thing to be careful about is not to over squeeze the bottle. Just a note about the entire Sawyer squeeze filter system; I have been using a hand pump system for years, and the Sawyer is by far the best most effective water filtration system for the field. The only downside and its not a biggie is if you don''t have a water current to fill the untreated water pouch, you have to move the pouch in the standing water to fill it; like I said, not a biggie. Enjoy! As a backpacker this is a frustrating product...there is no way to fill it with water in an efficient manner...I much prefer the clunker filters with a hose you can put in a pool and filter from. The intake is a hole about the size of a nickle with no efficient way of pumping water from the stream into that intake hole. You would need to carry an extra container to scoop water which defeats the purpose of an ultralight filter! Even at base camp with a pot, I found it frustrating to fill a 2-lter container. I prefer the Katadyn base camp filter and Katadyn pump style filters when backpacking. Whoever engineered this was not a backpacker!
