Avenir Handlebar Bicycle Bottle Cage

This does what its supposed to do but it''s not as good as the Sunlite Handlebar Mount Bottle Cage. The mounting system on the Avenir was kinda flimsy and a pain in the behind to put on. I highly recommend the Sunlight, but it''s a pass on the Avenir.

This cage comes in 2 sizes make sure you order the right size cage or it will not fit. What is so great about this cage is that it mounts on your handlebar. The type of bottle cage the bike racers use that are mounted on the down tube or seat tube require you to twist your spine to get the bottle. Murder for people with bad backs! This cage is firm and made of good quality metal. It is held in place by 2 allen bolts. If you don,t have an allen wrench buy one or use 2 phillips head bolts that fit the threads. No allen wrench is supplied with this cage. I bought this cage on Amazon. I have never seen one like it in a bike shop.

Neither of my kid''s bikes could handle a regular water bottle cage. We struggled to find a cage that would work. This easily mounts to the handlebars and works well. Had to find an open spot that I could get around the brake & shift cables and then angle the cage a little to get it to fit. Quality is great. It solved my problem. The kids like it.

I was worried after I ordered these that they may be too big. My bars as it turns out are only 7/8 or 22.2MM, but they clamped up nice and tight and hold solid with full bottles. Nice to be able to grab a quick sip again.
