Okay, I admit I originally bought this for my new Kona because the bike is a deep blue with silver/white trim. This cage looks brilliant on the bike. Anyone out there with blue bikes, check it out for that reason. However after getting and using the cage, I must say it''s fantastic. I''d always used the cheap metal ones before. I have a 24oz. Polar bottle, and they just don''t hold that bottle correctly.
This cage however, is almost like it''s made for that particular bottle. The bottle slides in, the top part of this cage aligns perfectly with the thumb indentations on the bottle. Best of all, this cage holds onto that bottle like a VICE GRIP. The bottle doesn''t move at all, and try my best it''s never left the cage through jumps, falls or whatever.
Highly recommend if you''ve got one of those Polars.. I''m buying a second one to fit on my seat''s downtube.I''ve had a pair of these Zefal springs bottle cage on my bike and loved them, but over time they loosen a bit and the bottles tend to jump out if u slammed a pot hole or jumped a bump. They are o.k for training but during race when the pressure is on and u need to ride hard you might end up not having a bottle in the cage when you need it.

I have some stainless water bottles and now I can carry them on my bicycles without straining the bottle cages. These are replacing stainless cages on my bicycles because of their ability to expand easily. Much cheaper than
carbon fiber and may be more durable.

I hate the cost/durability of carbon cages. This fiber cage can be pulled, bent, and leaned on without breaking. I was previously using the Profile Stryke cages and continually lost 24oz bottles on major bumps. A huge fred-maneuver in the middle of a pack. So far no ejected bottles with the Spring Cage, and I''m ready to buy another one. Zefal and plastic isn''t exactly fashionable in the peloton, but heck, sanding paper takes off the silkscreening.Want Zefal Bottle Cage Spring Discount?
My new bike was white, so I took it as an opportunity to get some new bottle cages to replace the cheap wire metal ones I was using. The good reviews on these swayed me and I bought two. They''re great at holding all the different bottles I use. They are easy to insert and remove bottles, even from my seat tube where my compact bike frame means the top tube gives almost no clearance above a bottle when it''s in the cage. I''ve never ejected a bottle with these, even on some crappy terrain and countless bunny hops. The plastic seems pretty durable. My only complaint is that the white cages seem to get stained from dust, dirt and other contaminates and they''re impossible to keep clean. I''m guessing it''s because they''re a matte finish and not a glossy smooth surface which would be easier to clean. A minor issue that I can''t knock off stars for.I will likely be getting a few more of these for other bikes.
