I owned a Vector for at least 10 years and am having to go back to it as Suunto has had my X 10 more than I have over the last 8 months. I have sent it in twice the last time in Nov for the case coming apart. First time button cover came off. Cannot believe I paid $400 for this. Makes me question Suunto.I Needed a precision GPs, easy to use and thought this would be the one.then I tested it again my Garmin Zümo 550 and the Forerunner 305 and the Suunto was the least precise one. If you need it for keep tracking of your path and precision is not necessary, it is a nice gadget. I am sure new models should improve accuracy.Purchased several of these for use in Afghanistan as Suunto makes the only wristwatch that provides military coordinates.
Great concept and features, but hugely disappointing in execution. Battery indicator is very unreliable, along with the battery itself, meaning you will lose power at seemingly random times. Easily takes well over 5 minutes to lock on and get a reading, assuming you are nowhere near any overhead coverwhich adds exponentially to the time. Several of the ones we purchased fell apart after a month or so of wear. It should be noted that Suunto does honor it''s warranty promises and will repair, but several broke soon after repair, and not much use if you are not in a position to mail your watch back and wait for mail.
Overall, this is a neat but entirely unreliable product. Great for weekend warriors or novelty use, but does not warrant the asking price and cannot be relied upon in touh environments. Worth maybe $200, would not pay anything over that.

Great features for anyone who is physically active. The GPS function is great for land navigation or tracking your distance when running outside.Want X10 Watch by Suunto Discount?
I bought the X10 Military a couple years ago. It was a disappointment. #1 This watch is not very durable. I had to send it back to Suunto twice because of the wristband detaching from the Bezel. #2 It is not compatible with my MAC computers. #3 It wasn''t very use friendly. The manual doesn''t seem like it''s designed to explain the full capabilities of the watch. On another note...Suuto''s customer service is absolutely fantastic!!! I returned (shipping paid by Suunto)the watch to Suunto each time this watch had an issue, and with-in a week I was sent a completely new watch! Free of Charge!!
My wife bought me the Ambit for my birthday and I was immediately skeptical due it my experience with the X10. I have been thoroughly pleased with the Ambit. IT IS FANTASTIC!! I does everything that the X10 lacked. Easy to use. Very Fast GPS lock. MAC Compatible. Can Operate for 50 hours in Activity Mode. Pretty Solid. I could go on.
BTW Suunto Discontinued the X10
Bottom line. Get an Ambit....
