Decent idea, and fastens somewhat securely .... until you put a full bottle in the cage and it begins to move around a little. The interface between the strap and the mounting point seems like it would wrap more securely on larger diameter tubes, i.e. aluminum or carbon frames with oversized tubes, not the older 1" steel tubes that are most likely to need additional cages.

The way the serrated strap attaches to its mating serrated clip is terrible. Hard to describe in words without a close up pic, but there is nothing to hold it together except friction. There is no cover to hold it all together. It needs to be like a zip tie, probably isn''t because of patent issues? Had to use duct tape, otherwise it will pop apart and be useless. And after you cut the extra part of the strap, it would be real hard to get it back together, since there''s nothing to grab onto to insert the strap into the clip and turn the screw. Good idea in principle, hope they can make it better, hard to find products like this for us old-school bike guys.

Holds the water bottle and cage with out any problems thus far. You have to follow the pictures on the package exactly to get it to tighten down on your frame. ie make sure the head of the bolt is flush against the hole in the strap portion with the tip of the bolt in the tightening block, put it on your frame, pull the strap tight and put it in the tightening block and then turn the bolt to tighten the strap. (this will be clearer with the parts in front of you) It was not hard to apply and didn''t take long. For my smaller diameter tubing I pre-bent/shaped the strap at the plastic mount for a better fit.
