These were my first experience with biking water bottles. I hadn''t used water bottles while biking before so I don''t have anything to compare them to.

My first couple of uses left me wondering if I had made the right choice. The bottle seemed too hard and the whole kicker valve system seemed finicky. Once I got used to the bottles I''m glad I didn''t return them.

After some use the bottles soften up and once you get the trick of using the kicker valve on the move it''s easy to pull the valve open with your teeth, sip a little water (or a lot), and close the valve.

My husband loves these bottles. he takes them with him everywhere. Easy to use while on the treadmill. Easy to clean and refill. No leaking and the kicker valve is awesome and simple to use. I''m glad to be done using bottled water.

I bought this so I''d have just a little more water for my longer runs and it worked out perfectly. The bigger bottle still isn''t too heavey or awkward, which I was worried it might be. Of course the kicker valve is great and I like the red bottle for something different.

The main benefit of this water bottle, which I use in a water belt while trail running, is that it doesn''t leak when filled with water that has a fizzy electrolyte supplement such as Nuun added. There is nothing worse than using a standard bike type water bottle and having water dribble over your backside while running. The main disadvantage is that you have to bite it just right and also squeeze it while drinking. Not too difficult, really.
