Camelbak Eddy Insulated Bottle .6 L Save $0.06 off

Although I have been using different water bottles for years, this is my first CamelBak. After a few weeks using it, here are some pros and cons:

+ Completely drip proof due to the bite valve

+ Good size and handle for transportation (fits in cup holders and backpack pockets easily)

+ Insulation prevents condensation, which can be good or even necessary depending on use

+ Slick design

Insulation may not be worth it (water became hot after being left in car in 65 degree sunny weather for only 90 minutes)

Size is only 600 ml (about 20 oz), so frequent users like myself have to refill often

Price is high

Overall, I am pleased with the product but I would probably be happier with the 750 ml (25 oz) non-insulated Eddy at a lower cost (CamelBak eddy .75L).

Bottom Line: If you need insulation for whatever reason, this bottle is great. If not, I''d recommend the non-insulated, slightly-larger version linked above.

Awesome insulated bottle, works good, but not great. The stainless steel version is much better if insulation is a major concern. This one also condensates some, the ice melts, and not as effective at insulated as stainless steel version. Daughter loves the color though, and for every day use it works great.

I have had other Camelbak bottles that I really liked. I don''t know what the problem with this one, but it leaked when placed on its side. Design flaw, I suppose, although I never had that problem with other Camelbaks. What made me finally throw this one in the trash, though, is that I would find mold (or mildew or SOMETHING) growing on the inside of the rubber bite by the end of the day. I kept soaking it in Clorox, and using Q-tips to clean it out, but by the end of a single day, stuff would be growing on the inside of the mouthpiece again. After a couple weeks, I gave up--it was just too gross!

I purchased this CamelBak eddy Insulated .6L water bottle (blue) to replace an older CamelBak water bottle that had started leaking. I am pretty pleased with it overall. It keeps water cool, and doesn''t sweat, so I can leave it on any surface without a coaster or worry about getting things wet in my backpack. The only problems I have with the bottle are its dimensions. I am replacing a 0.75L bottle with this one (which is only 0.6L), but this one is still larger and taller with the insulation. I would rather have had a shorter bottle, but it isn''t a huge deal. I would still recommend this bottle, it is well worth the price on Amazon versus in the store.
