Dave Canterbury from Dual Survival and The Pathfinders School LLC did a review and uses for this 38oz bottle.I thought I would never pay $32 for a water bottle but after his reviews I had to get it and I''m glad I did.This thing is so much more durable than the other bottles @ least twice as thick SS walls.The staight body is much better than the new 32oz Guyot.great for disinfecting water in a campfire.The cap comes off also.

If you get a chance to buy one don''t hesitate,you won''t be disappointed.They stop making the straight walled bottle and are only making the tapered 32oz bottle. These are getting real hard to find.

This is one very well-made bottle which I believe might be discontinued or otherwise no longer available from the manufacturer. The tapered-bottom design is easy to find, but not this standard version. An internet search for details will bring up many reviews and mentions of this product in camping/bushcraft/survival blogs and forums, but very few (if any) sources for purchase. I''ve added a photo of the labeling on the bottom of the bottle to reassure anyone who might be wondering...

I should have purchased 2 of these things but the price point at the time was not condusive. I will be getting another one though. I have looked far and wide and have yet to find another canteen that meets the same requirements. This thing is rock solid, simple and very well designed with the contours in the right place. I dont like a lot of wavy lines and tapers in my water bottles... it makes them too hard to pack, camp with, boil water in, etc. Sometimes... less funk is more functional. In this case the beauty is in its simplicity not in the shape of its body.

This water bottle was recommended to me by someone as the "bomb-proof" stainless bottle to have.....and i''ve got to admit, even taking it out of the box I noticed its heft. This thing is like a bank-vault compared to every other stainless water bottle I own, and have used. I''m not saying that the other companies won''t hold up to what this one will, but this is the only one that has somehow inspired confidence as soon as I felt it.

Bought this bottle for a camping trip I did last week. Bottle is heavy duty, well constructed, and doesn''t leak. I used this bottle to boil water in the campfire while at basecamp with no problems, and I was able to screw it into my MSR water filter to purify water from streams with no problem as well. Very happy with my purchase and I plan on buying a couple more.
