Great product but quite expensive from this supplier (I am revising my earlier comments as I realize that this is for 5 each of the cups and brackets)!

I''ve been using these drink cups for my small flock of 10-15hens for years. They are AWESOME. I cannot understand why everyone doesn''t use them, and especially backyard flock owners who generally have jobs and lives off the "farm". Refilling waterers every day and cleaning them is a DRAG. These cups provide clean fresh water and rarely need to be washed out--when they do, I just rub them out with a finger. For water supply, I use a home-made plastic rain barrel, raised 3 feet off the ground (cinder blocks work fine), and have a coupling on the faucet end that hooks up to the required 5/16" tubing. It took no time at all to set up. If I had gutters to feed into the barrel, that would be great but I use a hose, and I only have to refill the 50 gal tank 2-3 times a year. My hens always have clean water inside their coop and outside, and the new chicks catch on fast.

But really, $43 is too much for 5 cups and 5 brackets.

These are simple little plastic items with a small metal spring, and can''t cost more than $1-3 to manufacture--well made, but cheap. I get mine from Cutler''s Poultry supply--for $12.60 you get 5 drink cups. For $10 you get 5 brackets. They brackets that are for attaching to a pipe are much cheaper fro some reason. Check out cutler supply dot com. I have no connection to them, but I appreciate an honest family business, making a reasonable profit and not ripping people off. They are helpful on the phone with whatever you need.

I struggled with my hanging waterer until I about cried so I switched to nipple waterers that leaked everywhere.

These are fantastic! The chickens see the water, which they love and I almost never clean the system. I hooked them up to a big bucket and it automatically waters them. Very low maintenance. Great Product!
