H2O4K9, Stainless Steel K9 Water Bottle

Purchased this bottle six weeks ago and have used it less than ten times. After each use, it was rinsed and air-dried (no harsh chemicals or brushes). This morning, I noticed several rust spots on the inside of the bottle near the neck. It''s not exactly a durable stainless steel given the minimal use.

The H2O4K9 website offers the following suggestion: "If your bottle shows signs of rust, you can re-treat the surface with a citric acid bath." I''ll give it a shot once I return from the citric acid store and let y''all know how it works.

The bottle holds more than enough water for the dogs and the cap design is great. The dogs find it easy to use and you can pour excess water back into the bottle without much trouble. Finally, its hourglass shape makes the bottle easy to hold even when it''s sweating like crazy on a hot humid day.

Got this for bike rides with my 50-pound pit. The top screws off all the way (I initially thought it flipped off but stayed connected to the bottle, but it comes off entirely); the cap is shaped so that my dog can comfortably fit her snout and drink. The design makes it easy to pour back what she doesn''t drink into the bottle. Cute color, a nice sturdy aluminum. Good buy!

After looking in multiple pet stores and websites, I would say aesthetically, this is the prettiest / cutest / sturdiest dog water bottles out there. Although I have only used once, I have to say it could not have worked more perfectly. My dog averages 60 lbs, and we were at an outdoor dog festival in FL. for 3 hours. She had such an easy time drinking out of the screw off lid, as well as seemed to want to drink more when it was from this particular shape; which is always a good thing. The bottle holds plenty of water, and it stayed cold for the entire trip.
