After looking at many different brands and trying to compare their bottle''s coatings, advantages and disadvantages from reviewers'' comments, product Web sites etc etc I came across Laken at the last minute, just before I was about to buy something else. I am very happy with the bottle, using it with distilled water only so far no aftertaste, no funny smells, not too big, but it does lack a loop to hold it while walking for example, though there is an opening through which you could guide a piece of string or other very thin material to function as a cord diy kind of idea. Highly recommend yellow as a color it seems to ward off potentially interested third parties in the office. The sport cap is a bit cumbersome in that you have to turn it and dirty fingers are getting awfully close to the drink spout, but it does do a good job at preventing spills. Made in Spain.
1. It was made in Spain not China.
2. It does not have BPA in the lining, nor does the lining peel like the Sigg bottles.
3. It fits into the standard cup holders in my vehicle.
Additionally, it holds 25 oz. I wish it were more for my workouts, but I traded that for the cup holder feature. You can fill it with any cool liquid just not hot ones. I have only used water so far. Hand washing is recommended. The color is a deep, pretty blue not really mauve as it listed. I did not give it five stars because of the mouthpiece. I wish the water could come out faster, especially when using it for workouts. It has no other vent hole, so it is slower. I picked this top though because I could close the lid and cover the mouthpiece. The one trade-off I wasn''t aware of before purchasing.
