Ready to Fish Soft Sided Tackle Bag Save 35% off

Ready to Fish Soft Sided Tackle BagI bought this bag in early 2010. I really prefer using a soft sided tackle bag after trying a few different things over the years including hard tackle boxes and boxes with stacks of trays/boxes inside, and this is the first new one I have bought in a long time. My last bag was an old soft duffle bag I had re-purposed, this bag is actually designed for fishing. I looked at many bags at Amazon.com, auction sites and fishing gear sites before choosing this bag. For one thing, tackle boxes and bags have gotten very expensive, so price was one of my considerations in choosing a new tackle bag for fishing. For the price this bag was really affordable compared to other bags I looked at. Once I chose which bag I wanted, the best price was here at Amazon, especially with shipping.

I fish with bait, lures, flies, and the fish I seek out are trout, bass, perch, kokanee salmon, catfish and bluegill. I wanted a tackle bag that would hold everything but my rod, net, and lunch. But with this bag I can still strap the net to the outside of the bag, and slip my lunch and thermos inside so it exceeded my expectations, without carrying a big monster bag. If I break my rod down, I can strap it to the top as well. I also looked at the type of bags that come with nice big Plano style tackle boxes for lures inside, but the boxes always fill the entire bag and they are too big for me. I already have plenty of boxes, prefer to handpick my boxes, and I use a variety of smaller Plano type boxes and fly boxes. Each box is dedicated to different varieties of fish or types of fishing that I can switch out before a trip as I need them. Another reason I do not like to use big tackle boxes, is that just one careless bump or kick from me when its open and my gear is dumped everywhere. I planned to buy a bag in a reasonable size because if I have a bigger one, it is too tempting for me to load too much stuff and then its gets heavy. I fish from both the shore and boat, so I needed a bag I could carry back and forth. I found this one to be very comfortable when its full in size and shape, and the padded strap and handles helps.

It has a padded shoulder strap, and it still leaves my hands free. It also has 2 short handles for carrying by hand. This one is just the right size for me. It has a waterproof nylon interior, and a hard interior bottom to maintain the shape of the bag. The bag is waterproof, whichj does not mean you can fill it with water, it means if you splash it the inside stays dry and the water does not harm the bag. It seems to resist stains and tears very well. It still looks new after heavy use this year.

FEATURES: It came with a bunch of adjustable velcro dividers for the main interior compartment that allow you to lay out the inside any way you like. I used about half of them. It has a clear pocket on the interior lid for papers and electronic devices. The exterior of the same lid has a cable net to hold your coat, gloves, hat, rod tube or a net. The strap D-rings have room to clip items on. It has nice exterior pockets all the way around, the back side is one long mesh pocket that runs down the whole bag. It has a tool pocket one the front that has 3 elastic mini compartments inside, a big area, and another zippered area, exterior bandolier type things, carabiner clips, and a small zippered pocket for your license. One side has a mesh water bottle pocket on the side with a strap, D-rings and a pocket with a velcro lid. The opposite side has a large pocket, that for me fits 8 bottles of bait. It has a comfortable padded shoulder strap that clips onto D-rings, it and the dividers were bundled inside and had to be installed, which takes a few seconds at most.

SIZE: Measures 16 inches long x 12.7 inches wide x 16 x 11.2 inches tall. Very light, it weighs just under 1 pound.

PICS: I added 4 pictures of my bag to this page in addition to the 1 picture Amazon has, so you can see the top and the back of the bag, interior, pockets, the handles and padded shoulder strap. I almost didn''t buy this bag for the previous lack of good pictures here. I posted my pics with the bag empty and also with my gear loaded in it, it was hard to get a realistic feel for the size and capacity with the sellers pic so I hope this helps you figure out if this is the type of bag for you or not.

Everybody has different tastes in fishing gear, this one works great for me and was affordable compared to similar bags.

UPDATE: December 2011. It is now two fishing seasons that I have used this bag. It has proved to be very durable, no problems with zippers, straps, or pockets, no tears. The material still looks new. It has proved very useful, and I am still impressed and glad I bought this bag.

One word: Hi-Tech-way-cool-envy-of-all-your-buddies-must-have-fishing-equipment! Waterproof pouch saves your cellphone from untimely demise. Lots of pockets and places to clip for all sorts of gear and snacks and stuff. The interior compartment is fully adjustable, configure the dividers however it suits you. My favorite part of it is the extra super ruggedized bottom: set it down anywhere and don''t worry about it! This bag was clearly designed by honest to goodness anglers! Very pleased. Highly recommended!

Buy Ready to Fish Soft Sided Tackle Bag Now

This is a really nice tackle bag for the money. I paid $25 here on Amazon for it, and I very rarely buy bags online since they are hard to know what it''s really going to be like when you get it delivered, but thanks to the photos from one of the other reviewers, I decided to take a chance.

The construction is of decent quality. It probably won''t last forever, but it is also not shoddy.

There are lots of pockets on the bag. Under the top lid there''s a clear plastic pocket, on the front side there''s a large pocket that when opened has a number of smaller pockets inside (without zippers) and the front pocket''s lid also has a zipper pocket inside, plus a small one on the outside that you can see in the photos. There''s a mesh pocket on one side for a water bottle or can of beer, plus another pocket with a flap over it that I haven''t decided what to use it for. Perhaps beer in that one and water in the mesh pocket. On the other side there''s yet another pocket.

Inside the main compartment you will have 2 large dividers that velcro to the sides horizontally across the bag, and 3 small ones that are about 3" to use for vertical separation between the larger dividiers, or between the edge of the bag and the dividers.

I would buy again for $25 in a heartbeat. I think this is way better than a plastic tote as it is much more comfortable to haul around, and seems every bit as useful.

It does not come with any organizers, so expect to spend a little bit finding ones that fit your needs and the size of the bag. I have two of my own for about $7 each.

This bag is great! ...just what I was looking for to hold all of my microscope accessories, including camera, slide boxes, stain bottles, dissecting tools... I love the flexibility in organizing the interior, not like those hard cases. And the storage capacity...there''s room for everything, even books! The numerous compartments make it extremely easy to access the items you need without unpacking everything first. Amazing low price and yes...very stylish.

Want Ready to Fish Soft Sided Tackle Bag Discount?

i like the size its biger than i expected which is kool, it also lets you decide how u want the dividers which is kool, the top opens and has a clear plastic zipper pocket inside the of it perfect for putting your license in and you wont even have to open it to show the DNR, i also put tide charts, you could supplement with any quick info you might wanna have available.the bottom looks buoyant i havent actually tried it yet but it sure looks like it would float wich is great for obvious reasons. comes with 2 carabiners they arnt super strong but they arnt flimsy either, the padded strap is nice and the inside of the pad has grip material which is nice...basically this is a great(soft) tackle box, the only thing i could have asked for is some plastic divider boxes...which you will need!! without them (at least 2) i cant see how you can make it work, who would just throw hooks and riggs in a soft bag to swash around in ya know. so just get those for cheap or findem somewhere...thats what i did...but its not like it advertised that it came with it so i cant hold it against it...for 21$ you cant beat this for a soft tackle box
