*My dog understood how to drink from it right away. The lid/bowl appears to be designed perfectly for a dog''s natural drinking style.

I got this bottle as a prize for raising money for my local animal shelter, and I am so happy I did! This is hands down my favorite canine water bottle ever. I have tried several different designs including the ones with the fold-down trough, and the pop top and all of the other bottles leak and waste water. This bottle is sturdy and has never leaked yet when I have used it, and I''ve taken it on countless hikes and trips for over a year. I''m a big fan of the sturdy, non-bacteria fostering stainless steel design. The carabiner is extremely useful for hooking the bottle onto a backpack or belt and the screw top stays tight. The lid serves as your dog''s water bowl and can hold a decent amount of water, enough for my 45lb pointer to rehydrate on a hike. The great thing I love is how easy it is to return unused water back to the bottle. The lid has a nice little pour spout to make putting the water back in the bottle easy as pie. Nothing about this bottle feels cheap or flimsy. It is all sturdy and well made and you can feel good knowing that when you decide to get rid of it, both the bottle and the lid can be recycled :) Kudos to these guys for making such an awesome product!

You have no idea how many different travel bowls I have bought over the years. I have had a service dog for 9 years and have struggled to find a good travel bowl. For food, I prefer Popware For Pets, as it is easy to clean and doesn''t mildew. Water is another story. Bowls are great if you have a place to fill them and then dry them out, but when you have a service dog that goes everywhere with you, that''s not always an option. So many travel water bowls don''t allow the water to be easy poured back into the water-holding vessel, whatever it may be. This bottle is different. The "lid" is contoured so that it provides enough room for the dog (in my case, Golden Retrievers) to drink from but also lets you pour an water they don''t drink back through the wide mouth of the bottle. It leaves very little water to drip down the side of the bottle. Its been water-tight for me, not leaking at all. I''d recommend this size, the largest, for anyone with big dogs and I chose the stainless steel because it keeps the water cooler for longer. And it comes with a clip for easy access! I love this bottle!!

Good idea for a bottle but the bottle sprung a leak after we dropped it a few times. We still carry the cap to use as a cup for our dog.

The problem with most K9 products is the longevity. Most of them start out as a great concept but either lacked critical details during the design phase or was just cheap on the materials and/or assembly to begin with. This product doesn''t have any fancy moving parts that flip open or snap shut. The great design is in the cap! It keeps it simple with a cap that unscrews/screws in and is designed to hold water for dogs to lap up! Yes, there are other bowl/bottle products out there but when it comes to jogging or hiking with your dog this is designed to the same diameter as most water bottles on the market so it fits in existing hipbelt pocket sleeves or lumbar/backpack holsters. Yes, it doesn''t hold gallons of water but it''s easily refillable at any water fountain or from a Camelbak if you''re hiking.

My only suggestion is to toss the cheap biner (clip) that comes with it and put on a much more sturdier one. Otherwise it''s a genuine 5 star product for the price!
