Oggi 12-Ounce Stainless Steel iSIP Sippy Bottle

This is a great stainless steel sippy at 1/2 the price of others. The stainless steel cup portion feels solid and well made. It does dent when my daughter throws it at the floor, but so does every other stainless steel container we have. When it arrived, it had a small crack in the black ring. I returned it for a replacement. Since I ordered from Amazon, the return was very, very easy to do, didn''t cost me anything, and the replacement came less than 48 hours later. The spout seemed awfully dirty looking on both the original and the replacement. The day after I received the replacement, I found the exact same cups at Big Lots for $4 and picked up two of those. Their spouts were a little grungy looking too. I would have washed them before using them anyways so it didn''t bother me that much considering the savings on an otherwise great product. The spout is identical to Avent cup spouts and they are interchangeable in case you would want to have extra spouts. I also like that the Oggi sport caps also fit on this sippy so she can use it as a water bottle when she outgrows the sippy. Found a couple of those at Big Lots too (woohoo!) I really love that the price of this made it affordable to switch to stainless steel.

My daughter is 17 months old and doesn''t have a problem with the size of the cup. However, I have to be careful not to fill it all the way up since she is used to 8 oz. of drink at a time and really doesn''t need as much as fits in the Oggi bottle at this point. I would say that this sippy is probably too big for babies under 1. They may have a hard time getting their hands around it to hold it and may have trouble with how heavy it is when it is full. If you have a small baby, you will probably want to get something a little smaller and easier to hold and wait on this one until they are older.

UPDATE: I laid it sideways in my bag so that my daughter wouldn''t see it and want it in the museum and it leaked all of its contents into the bag. Luckily, it was water. I still like this cup a lot and for the last week, I have not had a problem with leakage, but also have not left it laying on its side. I have had avent cups before, so I am fairly certain that all of the components were assembled correctly. I will just remember to keep it in the side drink pockets of my diaper bag to keep it right side up. If you are looking for something to throw in a bag or put in a lunchbox, this probably isn''t it.

My son has used his for about two months now, and we''re already calling it quits with this bottle and buying a different brand. First of all, it is not spill-proof it leaks fairly often through the lid. Second of all, after two months of what is probably considered standard use by an 18 mo boy (i.e., thrown and dropped quite often), it has accumulated lots of dents and the paint has chipped off and gotten on my child''s hands and, subsequently, food. Third strike: When cold liquid is placed in it, it makes the bottle very cold. Have to put a cozie on it to prevent my child''s hands from freezing. Only pro is the spout very durable, and stands up well to teeth.

I have a Klean Kanteen sippy for my daughter, and decided to try this Oggi sippy for my son. The 2 are almost identical, and parts are interchangeable which is nice. I did notice that the plastic parts of the Oggi do not feel as high quality as the Klean Kanteen parts, but we have not had any problems (we''ve been using it for almost a month now) -and it''s half the price of the Klean Kanteen, so it''s very much worth it in my mind. I''ll be buying more.

Cheaper than Kleen Kanteen? Yes... But I''ve never seen rust on a KK, especially not after only the second time it goes through the dishwasher. Beware!

At less than half the price and with better function, these Oggi sippy bottles are AWESOME! The Kleen Canteen spouts would drip. These don''t. They are tough and cute and functional all wrapped into one. The paint comes off in some areas but this is normal wear and tear. With the abuse these cups take they look no different than the Kleen Canteen after several months of use. We have had both and I feel they are comparable cups and the better value lies with Oggi.
