I bought this to match the lunchbox, but found that it would leak so I guess I''ll just use it for sports or in the car. Not good for packing.

This is just perfect for our son. He LOVES trucks and equipment. It''s easy for him to open and has a cool ''cap'' that covers the mouthpiece and helps keep it clean. Yesterday when he came home from school he had forgotten to push down the mouth piece and just put the cap on, put it back in his lunch sack. It didn''t leak!!

This is a great bottle. It keeps water cold for about 2 hours in the summer heat and my son LOVES it. The reason I didn''t give it 5 stars is because it''s not dishwasher safe. Otherwise, it''s great.

This is clearly a case of form over function.

I purchased this bottle and originally loved it. It is a nice stainless steel and the design was perfect for my son who loves anything with wheels. He loved this water bottle at first sight too, but for some reason, did not drink much water when we took it out with us. I didn''t really understand why he never seemed to want to drink from it until I actually tried it myself. When I drank out of that cap, I got more air than water! It was appalling! No wonder this water bottle always came home still full and my son always declined to drink when I offered it to him. He couldn''t get much water out, which can be very frustrating. Plus, he is probably swallowing air instead and then has gas cramps later in the evening.

The other problem that I noticed right off the bat was that the blue cap that is meant to keep the top sanitary when not in use hits my son in the face when he is trying to drink from it. That would have been excusable and easily remedied by removing it but the water flow issue is not acceptable. The sippy cap also leaks. Crocodile creek could solve all this by offering alternative caps that are better designed. I would be willing to buy a replacement cap for this bottle if I knew it worked. For a while we were simply removing the whole thing and just having him drink straight from the bottle and not through the sipping mechanism. But that requires me to help my son take the cap off since he can''t do it himself. This means I can''t send him to preschool with this bottle because he can''t use it independently.

Bottom line, do yourself and your child a favor and get him a 12 oz. klean kanteen with either the sports cap 2.0 or regular poly loop or flat cap. The sports cap has great flow and the other caps have excellent non-leaking seals. You can decide which is most important to you. I have both types of caps depending on whether the bottle is traveling on the outside or inside of a bag and whether he is taking it to preschool. It''s nice to have options without having to buy a new bottle. Plus, the opening of the bottle is larger on the klean kanteen compared to the crocodile creek, which means it''s much easier to fill and get ice cubes into.

After buying adult-size water bottles for my daughter & myself, my 2-year-old constantly wanted ours instead of his sippy cup, so I gave this a try. He LOVES the vehicle pictures! And he loves having his own "big-kid" water bottle like Mama & big sis! The bottle works fine & is not a problem to clean w/ a bottle brush. It is not spill-proof, so it''s quite a change from the sippy cup, but that''s just part of the growing up process. I''ve tried his water a few times (we''ve only put water in it) and it does not seem to leave a metalic taste, as some do. We took the cap off, as it was difficult for him to use & just seem to get in the way, but that''s no big deal when we mostly use it at home. When I want it closed, I just make sure the spout is closed all the way. I do like it a lot & am thinking about buy a few more for gifts.
