Brunton is a good company and this bottle is very well made. The wide mouth is great for ice cubes or if you want to mix up some sports drink.

It appears to have a good lining, water tastes fresh and not metallic and the lid does not leak.

For the price of these, excellent alternative to throw away plastic bottles.

This water bottle was nice in the beginning, but it has not held up the test of time. When I first received it, I thought it would be pretty good. Here are my pros/cons:

PROS:

1. Nice color

2. Does not dent very easily

CONS:

1. Coating chips on the outside (hopefully this is not the case on the inside!)

2. Occasionally leaks from the screws when tightening the top. At times I thought this was because of possible over filling, but it seems like the gasket may be somewhat defective, or not tight enough.

3. The plastic that holds the screw lid to the container is chipping and is starting to look old and used.

4. Does not keep drinks cold for a long period of time.

I highly recommend this bottle if you are going to be outdoors and will be drinking its contents quickly. Otherwise, I highly recommend getting a Thermos container that has double walls if you want to drink your liquids cold hours after you filled it.

I bought four of them (different colors and sizes), only use for about 3 months, the coating inside the bottles started to come off, I throw them away and bought stainless steel water bottles instead.
