Always loved Nalgene but when I found out that Nalgene tests on animals, I looked for an alternative. This is it! One liter size, does not leak, transparent to see liquid, nice frosted blue color which I find preferable to drink water out of, includes a removable sipper/ flow controller-it sits inside the mouth opening and covers most of it, but not all of it (like a disposable coffee cup lid). This prevents spilling the drink all over yourself which I think is easy to do with a wide-mouth cup. I actually like this better than Nalgene now for the frosted blue finish, the curved design, and the mouth opening, and knowing that I''m not supporting a company that tests on animals.

this water bottle is durable, inexpensive and doesn''t have a weird plasticy smell or taste. the nalgene inserts that make the opening triangular to reduce spilling fit, too. I have had this bottle several years, and the frosted parts have worn a bit on bottom, but the lid is still fastened and I use it daily! Good for holding a lot of water and "spill cap" is nice! Ended up being a little bigger than I really wanted or needed it to be. But it works well and does not leak.
