I purchased this reservoir to replace the 50 oz one I''ve had for three years. The replacement fits into my Camelbak just like the old one did. The improved design (hose detaches from mouthpiece and reservoir) makes this version much easier to clean. Great update!

For those of you with a 5.11 MOAB 10 sling pack, this hydration bladder works well. The MOAB has a 1.5L hydration pocket despite its small size, so I was wanting to take advantage of this and finally got around to getting one. I looked at a few options and eventually decided that this was a great middle ground of price and quality. We purchased this to go in a smaller Camelbak backpack for our 4-year-old. We live in Phoenix and were having a hard time getting him to drink just plain water because carrying around a water bottle of any kind was too cumbersome for our adventurer! This is VERY dangerous for Phoenicians. Enter Camelbak. Good for adventurers of all ages, it fits seamlessly into smaller packs, and our son needs a refill only once every morning. Love it!

I flat out love the detatchable hose feature of this bladder. I have two hoses, one from my 100 oz, the other from my 50 oz. and I''ve put in an in-line Sawyer SP121 filter on one. The ability to easily swap back and forth, even with a full bladder is fantastic.

However, on several occasions when I''ve overstuffed my camelbak the pressure against the full bladder caused leaking in the seam between the bladder and the transition to the hard threaded plastic where the lid goes. Nothing catastrophic and once the pressure is off the leaking ceases entirely, but I find myself using my next larger pack than I would normally take because of this problem.

It''s not enough to dissuade me from using it over my older bladders, but it is a disappointment given how much I appreciate the other features.

I bought this to put into my 5.11 RUSH 12 backpack for day hikes and for long distance bike riding and it has been outstanding! Easy to fill and install inside my pack and is very intuitive to use. Holds a good amount of water too (50 oz in this case, but you can get other sizes if you need more). I''ve worn it on almost a dozen bike riding trips and it has had no leaks, spills or other issues. Also doesn''t shift around inside the backpack, as long at the hook at the top is attached to the strap in the water compartment of my RUSH 12.

What more can I say? It''s a Camelbak for Pete''s sake! They pretty much wrote the book on this type of portable hydration technology and this is yet another quality product by this company. I love mine and have no problem recommending them to everyone. My roommate just bought this same reservoir and he loves his too. If you''re a hiker, cyclist, mountain biker or an outdoor adventurer of any sort, I highly recommend you go buy this product (or others in the Camelbak line). You won''t be sorry!
