Product description reads "Sold as one unit. (1 unit = 30 each.)" which might lead you to believe you''re getting 30 of these really, really cheap. You would be wrong. There is only one. I didn''t really expect to get 30 for the price, but it aggravates me that some merchants are so careless with the descriptions. Thus, 3 stars.

That said, this is pretty heavy-duty. The carabiner is large, larger than I expected, and quite substantial. I have trouble stretching the O-ring enough to get it on, so I can''t imagine it will ever come off too easily. The only beef I have with the construction is that the bottom of the carabiner is notched, so that the short strap sits flat, instead of curving with the shape of the carabiner. Seemed like a good idea, until I realized the resulting small, sharp spurs can get caught on things. Like fingers, if you''re not careful when installing the thing.

The picture shows a slightly different carabiner, mine is a bit longer from the hinge to the bottom (where the strap goes), so maybe they won''t all have the same problem.

My family is active, so the Chums Clip Bottle Holder seemed like it would come in handy when we''re out and about. I like tthe design of the bottle holder and the colors we received. The holder is sturdy and well-made. Unfortunately, the rubber ring is difficult to get on the bottle, and my kids can''t manage it by themselves.

We honestly don''t use these clips very much anymore because we are trying to reduce the amount of waste we generate and the Chums bottle holder only fits water/ soda bottles. It would be a big plus if it would fit standard aluminum water bottles.
