This item was very poor quality and was made in China. The glass is very flimsy to the touch and very cheap. The stopper on the bottle, although quirky and fitted with a thread, it totally useless since the bottle neck does not have a thread. The stopper just pushes into the bottle top and doesn''t create a proper seal. As a result, when this bottle is turned upside down and shook, water leaks out of it. This makes the bottle totally useless because it could not be put in a bag without there being a risk that it would leak everywhere in transit. Don''t waste your money on this junk.

I was so excited to get this item. After reading a lot of reviews for different glass water bottles I decided on this one. It was broken upon receipt. It was sent in a box about 7 times its size with only one sheet of bubble wrap around it. The neck of the bottle was all shattered . . . Needles to say I am returning this item for a refund. I should have trusted my gut and just bought the $3 bottle at the container store.

My wife bought 4 of these bottles for storing Kombucha tea. We were both a little concerned when we got them that they were quite thin, but they held up for about 6 weeks until (of course) Christmas night when we were just getting settled in after the day and she wanted some tea. The stopper broke off in her hand and gashed the crap out of her thumb. Thankfully it missed the nerve and didn''t sever the tendons, but it still took a 2 hr trip to the ER, 7 stitches and some derma-bond to paste her back together.

Save yourself the trouble and find something thicker/safer.

The bottle is great. The stopper is too small. Therefore, using the bottle just doesn''t work. It leaks. I had purchased the same kind of bottle previously and it is perfect. The second one was a bad purchase.
