I received this bottle as a gift to be used while cycling. I liked the look and it felt light enough. Then, without really trying it out, I bought another . . . oops. The cap is totally non-functional (remember, I have two of these and they''re both identical in their inability to deliver a decent flow of water) as I''m either sucking more air than water or I have to take small sucks then allow for air to enter the bottle so I can take another. Also, in this day and age, I''m not sure what "food grade" metal is (it''s definitely not stainless steel), even though, I''m sure, some government official has deemed this particular kind of metal as being OK for food. If you enjoy fighting for a drink of water then by all means purchase one of these, otherwise, keep looking,

I just did a field test on a mountain bike of all five bike bottles I could find that had a protective cap. This one is OK to drink out of but the cap refused to stay put during the ride, making it worthless given that all it takes is a short time for dirt, cow manure, etc., to get kicked up onto the top of the bottle and foul the nipple. Might be OK for sedate riding. For a much better all around bottle I recommend the Nalgene ATB. It''s the only bottle where the cap stayed firmly put. It is superior in all aspects, even if you don''t need the cap.
Buy Bell H1 Water Bottle and Cage Now
This water bottle''s cage is easy to install on a bike that already has screw placements for it. The cage retains the bottle well even over rough terrain.
The bottle itself holds plenty of water, although it doesn''t keep water very cold for long.
The bottle is easy to use while in motion, and goes back to the cage without taking your eyes off of your path for too long.

Upon opening the Bell HI Water bottles I was overcome by the smell. I wasn''t sure if the smell was leakage from the plastic or from some other source. The cage worked fine and it supported and held the bottle in place. I tried putting lemmon peels in the bottle which reduced the odor, but I still wasn''t comfortable with the product and returned them
