Like the bottle, hate the lid. My kids (ages 7 & 8) have a terrible time drinking out of this lid. The valve requires too much suction. The loops get in the way of their noses and they end up tipping it and drinking crookedly. On top of all of that, they LEAK! I send milk in their lunch for them every day. The valve very is difficult to wash if the milk gets curdled at all. However, the bottle is very easy to wash and doesn''t have an oder. I will be purchasing a different lid.

Cute yes. Functional, No! The lid on this bottle uses a silicone rubber valve that rests in a small (1/8th inch diameter) opening, which is meant to control the flow of water. However, the valve is too small for the opening, and also contracts when cold water is placed in the bottle, so the valve drops through the lid, floats atop the water, and causes the flow to be unregulated, dumping a gush of water into your child''s mouth. After your child coughs a few times, you''ll be as ticked off as I am that they''re even selling this monster.

The product is cute, it works as expected, however it was shipped without care. It was not wrapped and was shipped in a huge box by itself. The bottle was visibly banged up with scratches and scuffs on it. It was a last minute gift so I didn''t have time to pursue a refund or exchange, but I was disappointed in the care it received before reaching my doorstep.
