Laken Jeeto 0.35-Liter Water Bottle

After extensive research into BPA-free water bottles, I chose this bottle for my preschool daughter. She loves it! She uses it around the house and it''s perfect for car and zoo trips too. No leaks, twist top works great. The only thing to think about is if you need an insulated bottle or not. This bottle does sweat, but we''ve never had it be a problem.

I bought four Laken Jeeto for my children about a year ago. The design are great and they are not made in Spain, not that country in Asia.

After about 1 month of use, two of the four lids were cracked, the lip on the lid were also chipped, making it hard to open. I emailed Laken and they promptly send me four replacement lids.

The deal breaker came when I noticed the rubber washer started to develop mildew. I hand washed the bottles daily and left them dry on the rack so I think I am taking good care of them.

So now I have to look for some other form of water bottles for my children. It''s rather disappointing.

I bought these for my 2 and 4 year olds. I was hoping to replace my BPA-free Nalgene bottles with a less toxic material for my kids. I liked these bottles because they are made in Spain and the lining does not have BPA in it (like the Sigg ones did before replacing it with a lining that now peels off). I was not sure from the other reviews if my 2 year old would be able to open and close the top. The top flips open, then you need to twist the mouthpiece before you can get the liquid out. It took the kids about two five minutes sessions to be able to open and close them without help. The lessons were well worth the effort in my opinion. You can fill them with any cool liquid water, juice, milk etc. just not hot ones. They need to be hand washed, which is fairly easy. I keep them filled with water in my vehicle, so we are never without something to drink. I love them and have recommended them to friends.
