Nathan Thermal QuickDraw Handheld Bottle Save 10% off

I ordered several different Nathan bottles from Amazon with this being one of the ones I purchased. The carrier for this particular Nathan bottle allows me to carry my cell phone in the pocket (out of 3 different carriers purchased, 2 allow me to carry my cell phone & one the pocket is too small for an iPhone). I like the fact that I can slip the carrier on my hand an practically carry it without gripping it. The first time out with a Nathan bottle & carrier, I wasn''t sure about the whole thing because of not being used to carrying 20 oz. of fluid in my hand. But after the first time out, my wrist & hand quickly became adjusted to the weight. Pretty much everytime I head out for a run I carry one of my Nathan bottles with me.

I have the smaller 10oz Nathan Sprint and have used it religiously on my outside runs. However, I am training for a 1/2 marathon and know that once I get past 5 miles, I will need more water than what the Sprint will hold. So, I asked for the Quickdraw for Christmas and Santa delivered!!

I just used it today on my 9.5 mile run and it worked perfectly. I drink a good deal of water while I run (but not enough to need to take breaks...) and found that I still had a couple sips left at the end perfect!! I also like the thermal case for this as it keeps my hands from getting cold and also helps to absorb some of the sweat from my hands while running. The front pocket on this case is large it holds my iPhone and some other essentials (lip balm, tissues, etc.)

I first thought that a 22oz bottle would be heavy for running, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn''t bother me in the least. The handheld case fit my hand well, but I think there could be some challenges with those with smaller hands. I had the adjustable strap as small as it could go and it fit me perfectly. My friend is somewhat more petite than me and she was able to use this just fine, but also commented that she would have liked to been able to have more adjustment in the strap.

The only challenge is getting the case on/off. You have to pull good to get it off and then getting it back on requires a second person helping or a lot of finagling to get the bottle back in --but this shouldn''t be a deal breaker!!

The bottle insulation did help keep the water cool on my long run and keep my hand from getting cold holding it. The pocket is large enough for my car key fob as well as a couple gels. The design of the bottle top make it easy to open using just your teeth. The only issue I had was I guess it was sitting just right on my hand and I didn''t notice it early enough. It pinched a nerve and my pointer finger was partially numb for a few days. I switched hands and it works perfectly. That was mostly my fault for not identifying the issue early enough.

Love this. It''s perfect to insulate and it holds my iPhone in the pouch. But that''s all it will hold can''t fit anything else in the pouch when it hold my phone. Still love it!
