Just went on a cruise with three 20 somethings and i knew they would want to kick their heels up and having cruised before, i KNOW how high the bar tab can get. I purchase 2 of the large containers and 6 of the 16 oz containers. They were filled prior to boarding and again midway thru. Not a hint of trouble either initially boarding or getting back on the ship with them filled. Ordered this rum runner because we were going on out first cruise and wanted to bring on some liquor to lower our bar tab. We filled them with Vodka and Rum and stuck them into our separate pieces of luggage. Well for all those that are wondering we made it through security and there were no issues with getting them confiscated.For those that are going on their first cruise and are thinking about bringing these, although it sounded like a good idea it was very inconvenient to make drinks in our room. Ice is not easily accessible and the same thing goes with soda and what you may want to mix the liquor with. It was really more a hassle for us and we ended up just buying most of our liquor anyways. It may be a better idea to by larger ones and put wine or something else pre mixed into them.
With that being said if you are looking to transport liquor on a cruise like us it worked great.
