BUILT Neoprene Small Bottle Slinger

I wanted a cover for my water bottles and found these. I HAD to have the micro dot. This gets very confusing because there is the 20 ounce tote, bottle slinger and the thirsty tote. I was not sure what to get but I assumed the slinger would be my most versitle. Unfortunately I got confused and there is no snap on the bottle slinger. I still am not sure what the difference between the regular slinger and the small slinger. Not sure that there is. I agree with other reviewers that it has a smell but I think it may go away. This will probably work for my purpose but I did not appreciate the confusion and the lack of a snap. FYI This fits my 27 ounce Klean Kanteen with sport top.

I found this (in a dot pattern) at Whole Foods. I purchased it for my 27 oz. Klean Kanteen and it fits it perfectly. I mostly bought it because my KK sweats a lot and gets everything around it a little damp and the slinger prevents that, but the slinger also keeps the water cold for an extended period of time which is a nice plus. I love my other "Built" neoprene water bottle holder. (Here: ). I freeze my water bottles and they sweat and get condensation everywhere. I was so happy with my last one, I decided to get a second. Well, that was a bad call.

This version (the polka-dot one) is pretty much useless. Yes, your water bottle fits inside, but once it''s in there, the way the fabric on the bottom of the holder is made, your water bottle now cannot stand upright. So you cannot sit it on your desk or on a table, unless it''s on its side. Go with the other one I listed because that one is made differently on the bottom. It has all the purported benefits of this one and allows you to stand your bottle upright.

The "rubber tire" odor is strong. Washing and airing helps. It protects the metal well.

Works well for any Klean Kanteen 27 oz. and under. Anything larger won''t fit right. It''s nice and snug, protects against condensation, dents, scratches, loss of coolness/heat, etc. However, good luck getting it to stand upright. The bottom is rounded, not flat like in the picture. It will fall down.
