Maxpedition 32-Ounce Military Water Bottle

I bought this thinking it would be tough like other Maxpedition products. However, the outer green coating is very thin and chips very easily. The structure seems sounds but the first time I dropped it the aluminium had a major dent. Would not recommend this product. I am going to try the Nalgene bottle instead

I''ve been using these water bottles for about 6 months now. I ordered two of the green ones, and then two of the tan about a month later. I live in Arizona, so having water with you is an important thing. I looked at other alternatives to these, and couldn''t find any that offered features that justified their higher prices. These bottles are well designed and built to last. The cap secures with a triple lug, 1/4 turn locking system, that does not leak, even when I''ve left the bottles in the car on 114 degree days. Yes, they will dent. But if you drop a metal water bottle, that''s what''s going to happen. I have a habit of opening the truck door, and at least one falls out because they''ve rolled around. The exterior coating will scratch, but not flake off, and the interior coating has withstood the dents as well. I should note that none of the falls, even from the truck door sill, have produced what I''d call a significant dent. These bottles are a nice convenient size, and fit in just about any pack or bag. The mouth is wide enough to fill and drink from quickly, but not so wide that you make a mess. I''m not sure what the relationship between Liberty and Maxpedition is, but since they''re covered by Maxpedition''s warranty, I''m not too concerned. For what you get for your money, I think these bottles are an outstanding value that will last a lifetime with reasonable care.

I wanted an aluminum 32oz water bottle so that I may heat water to make it drinkable. Not the case with this bottle. It is plastic lined. The bottle seems to be of good quality and has a unique feature to know when the bottle is sealed. I am confident that the bottle will not leak. The bottle isn''t a Maxpedition bottle as I was led to believe. It''s made by "Liberty Bottle Works". I feel misled. I guess I am to blame for not reading up on it further.

If you want an expensive aluminum bottle, buy this product.

The OD Green is a good match to my UTG Multi-functional Tactical Messenger Bag. I am probably going to by the sport cap on Liberty Bottle Works website so I don''t have to take the top off & on when I need a drink. Other than that, from what I''ve priced, this is a decent deal.
