Love all the Polar water bottles. I have 4 at home of the plastic ones and recently purchased the stainless steel for a present which has had rave comments. It keeps you water cool all through the day. Put it in the fridge or freeze a small amount in the bottom for cold water all through the hot summer days. Love it love it love it!
The half turn thing doesn''t work at all. All in all very poor product.

I hate this bottle and I ordered three of them. oops.#1 Anyways this bottle is pretty thin single wall steel. When filled with ice the outside of the bottle is so cold it is like holding onto an ice cube with your bare hands. It is kinda painful. My standard kitchen glasses don''t even do that.
#2 Once you drink form the bottle then close the lid just a little bit of liquid is store within the lid and if flipped upside down will leak that little bit of liquid.
#3 Nothing about the bottle tell you if it is open or closed. You need two hands to open and close the bottle so I leave mine open most of the time while at my desk. I can see this being a problem if I got in a hurry and just grab and run. The bottle is also difficult to open while driving.

I mistakenly thought this water bottle was a double walled, insulated, stainless steel bottle. It''s really none of those things. It was recommended by Bicycle Magazine. I bought two. Polar, (the manufacturer), makes water bottles to be used on bicycles. The first problem this one has is the diameter. It is slightly bigger than the diameter of a standard, bicycle, water bottle. It will fit in my carbon fibre carrier but it''s too tight to remove and get a drink while riding. The second problem is it''s just a stainless steel water bottle. It won''t keep anything cold or hot for that matter. My last complaint is it is heavy.Here is the solution. Go to FlyLady.net. Click on Fly Store then look for stainless steel water bottles. You''ll know you have found the correct ones when you see they come with a assortment of colored tethers. I have two of the 12oz bottles, (you can also buy 16oz which appear to be the same diameter of the 12oz ones). They fit nicely in the water bottle carrier. You can buy a 12oz and a 16oz together for $27.90. My 12oz bottle is much lighter than the Polar bottle. The great thing about these bottles is they are double walled and insulated with big mouths. If you add ice to the bottle you will have ice water (and ice) 6 hours later. Take some hot soup on those cool winter rides. You will love these bottles.
