this is a really solid piece for a very affordable price being carbon fiber & all...although I''m not actually using it on a bike... rather, I mounted it to my center console car since it didn''t have a cup holder & its been perfect for holding anything ranging from glass bottles, plastic water/soda bottles, cans, plastic cups, starbucks cups... i have it mounted upright using a pre-existing tapped screw on the bottom of the console
I torqued the single mounted screw down pretty tight to hold it in place as firmly as it could without swiveling & it didn''t crack the fiber/resin/coating which to me means its a quality formed piece
so basically I was looking for a carbon fiber cup holder to mount & this does the job correctly
