I bought this water bottle in black but wanted to included the review here as well, since this is an exceptional water bottle that warrants more information.
This water bottle is really a work of art rather than just a water bottle. It has a high-quality hand-made look to it. The glass is thick and wavy with tiny bubbles in it, so sturdy. The silicone grips are soft and secure. The silicone top is also soft but strong; it hangs down when it is off rather than sticking out and dripping. It also makes a tight and secure seal in case the bottle moves around in your briefcase or tote.
All of the silicone parts can be removed to clean occasionally; only the top would need to be cleaned every time--and it is also removable. The bottle has a wide mouth and is very easy to clean with a bottle brush. The company suggests that if your bottle is used for water, then a quick warm water rinse would work; for the occasional deep clean, you can shake with warm soapy water and rinse.
The glass bottle is optimal for the taste and safety of your water, plus you can see just how much liquid is in the bottle. The bottle is also very safe--the silicone is food grade and BPA-free and PVC-free. The bottle is made from at least 75% post-consumer recycled glass and has no plastic whatsoever.
It is the kind of water bottle that you would take where you''d want to be drinking out of something beautiful and elegant--this bottle could go almost anywhere. Anywhere BUT on a walk or hike--because the glass is really thick and heavy and with the liquid it is quite a load. I don''t mind because I have other lighter bottles I use for things like that and save my Bottles Up for times when I want to look good and feel special.
It is very expensive, but it is for me worth every penny. I hope to use it for many years to come.
