With the pHydrion strips, plain Fiji bottled water tested between a 3-4 pH while the Fiji bottle claims it is a 7.8 pH. Also, the color of the pHydrion strips does not change consistently throughout the strip. In fact, anything under a pH of 8 will only change the edges of the litmus paper such that the edges will be green while the center remains peach/orange/yellow.
The Nature2''s Spa Test Strips appear to work the best for testing water. They appear to be relatively accurate; unfortunately, these strips don''t test pH above an 8.I have used several different brands, but I NEVER have any water balance problems if I stick to these strips. I think they are a little pricey, but again, you get what you pay for:)

Had run out and these helped me get the spa water back in balance. They work fast, were a little cheaper than the ones and home depot and arrived fast.Read Best Reviews of Nature2 W29300 Spa Test Strips (50 Count) Here
I ordered two containers (50 strips per container) of Nature2 test strips and used a few from one container. They were useless, registering nothing. Luckily, I had enough left from the container I had been using, so that I could do an effectiveness comparison and also test the hot tub''s water chemistry. When I took a close look at the new strips, I saw that the pads on them were faded to the point of barely having any color at all. So, I stopped using the container that I had opened and did not open the second container. Then I did what I should have done first: Bought local (and spent less money).
Amazon is great for books and good for a lot of other things, but I''m done with the site for hot tub materials.

Strips work quickly and are accurate.Good price and nice amount.
Have saved me from having hair change colors
or eyes set on fire, so far not even a slight
tingling of the eye has happened.
It''s so great just dipping a little strip in
and finding out everything is a-ok. Will be
keeping these things in stock for the foreseeable
future.
