I frequently try different water bottles, because they all seem to have some good features along with trade offs. This one is my new favorite:

+ Fits in cup holders. 32 ounce water bottles don''t fit into standard cup holders. 24 ounce bottles may fit, depending on their shape, and the size of your cup holder, but they often don''t fit correctly, and instead get wedged in. This bottle fits perfectly.

+ Truly leak proof. Although the design and inner seal makes opening, and especially closing, this bottle a little hard than most, it is completely sealed when it is closed. You can even stick it in a bag and know that it will stay shut and the contents of your bag will remain dry.

+ Even clearer looking plastic than their other clear bottles. Nalgene seems to have changed their formulation some because this clear bottle is as clear as glass. I have it sitting next to two other, older, Nalgene bottles, and there is a noticeable different. This probably wouldn''t have seemed like an important feature when I was buying the bottle, but when I fill it, the light from the fridge makes the water shimmer and look very appealing and delicious in this bottle.

+ Durable. As always, Nalgene makes a high quality, durable bottle. It is very well made.

+ Taste. This bottle doesn''t change the taste of the water at all.

+ Spout. The spout is the perfect size for drinking, and the removable lid opens side enough for cleaning and inserting ice.

The top is a little tricky to close. You get used to it very quickly though, and it isn''t a big deal.

When open, the cap hangs in an awkward and large position. You get used to this, but the ''arm'' is much bulkier and larger than other Nalgene bottles.

Overall, I recommend this bottle. I still like the traditional 32 ounce bottles, but for one with a small spout and cup holder compatibility, this is a good one.

I wish it were, but it isn''t. The bottle works great. Don''t question the lock, anyone having problems with it is mentally challenged. It does what a good bottle is supposed to do. Keep liquids in. And the lock is a definite bonus.
