In addition the valve in the lid doesn''t work. You take a sip and the bottle get''s a vacuum in it, so it sucks air back in through the spout as soon as you finish your sip. Annoying. You can poke a toothpick/pin/whatever through the valve''s ''lips'' to separate them and the valve still doesn''t work. Maybe this ''valve'' is too small or just poorly-designed, if you look at a similar valve in a child''s sippy cup, the valve is at least twice as big, and has large slits in it.
Judging from the other reviews Rubbermaid must produce some of these that DO work, so it could be a quality control problem that occurs every few batches. There''s a hole above the spout, so when you drink it spills!!! USELESS! My child''s sippy cup gets more liquid to come out through the spout than this... USELESS!
Buy Rubbermaid 32 oz. Kiwi Sip Bottle Now
After searching extensively for BPA-free sports or athletic bottles, finally managed to stumble upon these at a Von''s grocery store of all places. These are outstanding for active sports and athletically active individuals.Furthermore, VERY durable, reliable, compared to much more expensive, lower quality bottles (we have been using ours going on 2 years and, again, we are VERY active AND consume 100 to 120 oz of water per day!).
Highly recommended.A excellent heavy-duty sip bottle. It is a nice and sturdy bottle. I am very pleased with it. I will certainly purchase one again.I have some 32 oz bottles like this that I bought from the local grocery store a couple of years ago. I love the 32 oz ones because it helps me track my water intake, and the size makes it easier for me to drink more water a day. I needed some new ones and found these online. However when they arrived in the mail they were not 32 oz they were the 20 oz version. My husband will use them so I''ll keep them, but I am really disappointed that I didn''t get the product that I thought I ordered.
