I love this thing! It makes me smile...And best of all, with some adjustments, it now holds my 24oz Camelback water bottle securely.I''m using my daughter''s pink, retro cruiser bicycle to commute to work and I absolutely needed a water bottle holder. This cup holder fits right in with the fun theme of the bike. Car people are going to be so jealous!
The cup holder is made of plastic surrounded by natural strips of rattan or bamboo, decorated with silk flowers.
Inside, the cup holder is lined with a durable foam insert that would work well to insulate a cold can of soda and holds a can in place quite snugly.
In order to fit my 24 oz Camelback water bottle, I had to remove the foam insert and trim some of the sides down. It now lines the bottom of the cup holder and I''ve left a strip of the foam on one side that steadies my Camelback bottle. The foam was originally glued to the bottom with what looked like silicone-based adhesive so it popped out in one piece, was easily trimmed with scissors and glued back into place.
I added a rubber grip to the mount on the handlebar because without it, the cup was spinning. I took one star away for this mounting issue.
