UPDATE: Carol Charles of Eco Vessel responded immediately (on a SATURDAY) to my email regarding the problems detailed below. She is replacing our bottle right away and tells me that Eco Vessel is now manufacturing stronger spouts for their kids bottles. Carol has been eager to resolve our issue, and it''s clear to me that there is truth in her statement, "Our company strives to offer quality products and responsive customer service." I''ll add another update once we''ve had a chance to try out the new spout for a week or two.We have had this bottle for nearly a month now, and after using it regularly for this period, I would not recommend it. My daughter loved her new Eco Vessel bottle and would eagerly show it off to her friends. Unfortunately, cute looks do not a great water bottle make.
The pros:
*easy to clean in contrast to other bottles
*stainless design is safer than plastic and bpa free
*aforementioned "cuteness"
The cons:
*within a week, a significant tear in the TPR spout, though my daughter was instructed not to bite it (these may tear from bending, as well as from biting)
*a short-distance drop--my daughter dropped it from about 2''--to the linoleum floor caused the plastic mouth of the bottle (onto which the drinking top screws) to break
I''ve posted pics of what can happen to this bottle. According to Eco Vessel''s website, this bottle "is stronger and made to hold up to the drops and falls that are sure to come along with your child''s active lifestyle," and the spout is "designed to withstand strong bites and tears in many conditions." Well, there''s a lifetime warranty (I''ve written the company and will follow up with their response), but I''d save myself the time and frustration and choose something else until Eco Vessel redesigns their kids'' bottle.

The mouth piece is easily punctured by sharp little teeth, and my three year old perforated it with a dozen holes within days. It still works I guess, but now I can hear her drawing in air with every sip (causing burps and potential discomfort). Compared to the mouth piece on the CamelBak, which can be chewed and chewed on without being damaged, this one is disappointing! Too bad, because I love everything else about the cup.Want Eco Vessel Kids Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Flip Straw Top Discount?
We''ve tried others. They have all fallen short. Ones that are stainless steel but have the plastic pull top...they leak...ALL over lunches! ANNOYING! [to say the least] Well today was the first day of school, and My six year old [1st grader] absolutely LOVES it!!! Her favorite part is that it''s easy to use and it doesn''t leak all over her lunch box. The sippy part doesn''t come off...it seems quite stuck to the thermos. Maybe others were defective...against my better judgement, I tugged on it quite a bit...nothing. It''s stuck there. We got the pink one with a tree. Don''t know if that helps but I''m definitely buying some more. Anyways, these are awesome. Glad, SO GLAD, that I finally found a thermos in line with my eco/green views and it''s cute [important if you''re six lol] and WORKS like it''s supposed to [ie: sans the leaking!]
